I think everyone knows you are trying to say he should win the race as was on a 10-1 on shot. Wish it was that easy. The problem for you is though Galah , not being a race driver I take it? is that 1000 or more drivers (including myself) in the past, have taken a sit on the leader when drawn the one alley (NOT always behind such a good horse either like Beyond Words) and won the race or run a head second like Mark did ...... We CANNOT haul them all down to the local Police station on a race fixing charge , explaining to the local constable what went wrong if they were the head second. Mark is probably just as surprised as you he didn't win the race after the perfect trip in the trail .?? Bloody B WORDS charged up the home run too quick Bloody thing !!!

Ok...... that is interesting. On all the Local cards in Brisbane and Redcliffe it always has in the stewards report that they swab ALL winners and take a pre-race blood sample from the selected random runners. I thought those main NSW tracks would be the same. Seems a good idea to swab all winners there to ! judging by the amount of syringes left laying around it seems by what you say .lol...

Driving tactics always under scrutiny I guess, especially in the Group racing so all your readers are seeing Mark and Nat right in the mix so often in those G1 races because they are the BEST there is, everyone has an opinion. Fair enough. Just need to know that Tactics are completely different to Race fixing.... Natalie did nothing to help Amazing Dream in the NZ FFA last month when leading with Spankem (could of drifted out a bit to give it inside room) and wasn't gunna wait for her last Friday either with BEYOND WORDS. I was frowning upon the term RACE FIXING being used so frequently , because of the true criminal meaning. 'Bad Losing drive'... a much better term to use lol..... something we can use most races ? lol.......

Race Fixing is a Very,Very,very serious charge. Match fixing is a CRIMINAL offence. YOU ARE ARRESTED these days. You can't just watch a video of a race and accuse people of this very serious charge just because they lost. Most competitors lose in every race as you know ? It's a question of whether the driver/rider gives their mount / drive every chance to win. Usually RACE /MATCH fixing involves a financial windfall for the parties involved in the incident. Famously the Gleeson brothers at Harold Park SYD in the 90's fixed races with their horse losing for 12-20k gain. (They got 100 years DQ at the time) and wrecked the image of harness racing forever. In December 2017 in QLD, Vicki Rasmussen, Shane Graham and Leonard Cain (later exonerated) were 'Arrested' for a race FIX incident earlier in Winter that year. Some schmuck has 3k on the winner, Leonard had to give up the lead in the race cheaply to let Shane Lead and win. Gosh they even gave Trainer Vicki a year out for that.... oh dear. very sad. Our best driver in QLD was on the sidelines for more than 2 years. Thankfully Shane is back in action this year. betting and phone records were used as evidence. People watching AMAZING DREAM getting beaten narrowly in a video and calling that RACE FIXING is kinda funny really. Had every chance to win . If you still call that race Fixing (and you have some evidence apart from watching a video and not agreeing with the race plan) CALL the POLICE and have them deal with it.

He did driving for Mark and Allstars stayed with his squad in NSW at times so I imagine they are in cahoots with the best Training Methods going , also getting all the latest Latest training methods info from the States via TODD and ANDREW over the years so are ABSOLUTE TOP OF THE TRAINING TREE . yes? Someone has to be the Best. Mark and Luke are it. No need to accuse of drugs cheat as ALL their winners get Swabbed , Just like everyone elses??? oh dear ,that is sad , always something to muck things up. Mark Pitt sadly involved as well, when just getting started in life and winning Victoria Oaks with SHEZ ALL ROCK 2018. Shez ALL Rock then went there to Mark and Nat and promptly won 2 x Group 1 's. Fab filly with 10 wins from just 11 starts. Guess Jack and Pitt won't be back then,.....

No don't know that one , see Clinton Hall got 5 years recently though ,for something. Brother of Champion driver Gary Hall Jnr. Maybe it would of been a ''good strategy ' to put the horses in his missus name ? (If it was training rather than driving related disqualification lol...)

Not sure who hubby is ? There was an incident with racefixing involving a leading driver Nathan Jack at one stage , but Amanda was acquitted eventually

KING Of SWING has always been good Mikie, I tried to lead with that at the start By Reminding everyone about his great record as a young horse culminating in the GROUP 1 win for Ray at Melton. Luke has ALWAYS been a great trainer. started out in 2003 with just seven horses , and won 90 races between them, one was SLIPnSLIDE another was FOR A REASON who won heaps. He is the Real deal, and No surprise to see the great results this year ( AND all the past 17 Years too !!! ) great job Luke !

And just one other thing . Pete McMullen has the horses in his wifes name in QLD here. They win a lot of races and Chantel drives some too. I respect them greatly , and LOVE Petes driving ability !! But it is 'brilliant' and 'not a bad stategy' to race in just one of their names. I HATE the idea that occasionally Pete is driving freelance AGAINST a horse he might be training with Chantel on occasion. YES I agree that is a rort and shouldn't be allowed !!! lol. By order of judge Gammalite ! but am sure they won't change it lol

Why pick on me Mikie ? I've answered your question about KING of SWING s form in the west with Halls to the best of my knowledge, and now you attack me about syringes and improving horses 8 seconds. Brilliant as in Brilliant Business Management obviously. Luke is the VITAL component of that set-up (with TODD and ANDREW both stars in the USA now. So play it safe with horses in Belinda's name. and now Craig Cross. with respect to Belinda and Craig the juggernaut continues and continued with or without them. Not to hard to work out that is not a bad strategy ?? has already paid off once.

Lloyd Williams has been Refused the Trainers Licence everytime he applied to The VRC. (Don't know why as had dollars, a beautiful setup at Macedon Lodge, second to none knowledge of good horses esp Mel Cup ones lol) That created all the 'pseudo trainer' nonsense. As for the Hall trainers in WA . King of Swing probably not suited to that tight turning Gloucester Park track. But don't worry they are brilliant outfit 'Consortium" as well with old 'Dad" still getting training credit. Of course I'm the Mighty Quinn and Chicago Bull (very small horses compared to KOSwing) have won more races between them that you or I could only dream of. ...... sigh they are super good ...........

Absolutely Mikie, this is common . Luke for many years had the horses in his wifes name. Belinda listed Trainer. Belinda credited with near 100 G1 wins actually! BUT in 2017 the positive swab came up , she's out for a year (but who cares) , The Superstable continues as if nothing happened. Brilliant !!! Horses plonked in CRAIG CROSS name thereafter, some kiwi bloke no one knows. Business as usual for Luke when next positive turns up. Craig can go back there to NZ for a nice years break? lol.... WHO came up with the Stupid idea of training partnerships ? better one name (say for example Mark Purdon) and if a positive comes up (e.g Horses all go in Nat's name as trainer, Mark moves in with Roy for a year) Business as usual !!! Brilliant !!

g'day Blossom, unfortunately the FBI have not made me privy to any drugs supply information. I am retired now but still love the sport and enjoy the big races ! Yes Luke is going gangbusters. Phenomenal strike rate. Unfortunately for the locals here in QLD he popped up a team last week , and won 4 out of 6 races and last night 4 out of 7 (with 3 narrow seconds) thankfully three of our best young drivers did well to pip him 3 times Nathan Dawson, Shane Graham and Pete McMullen saving the day. phew ! I Sincerely hope you are enjoying the NZ racing these days. Not as bad as Forbury makes out lol.....

And just an addition to this description of race driving is the fact you are often reliant on what the other runners around you are doing. Will they cart you into the race if you trail them? How well is the one i'm following going? Do I need to ease out now before they come from the back? Endless quick decisions in every race. It's nice to draw one, trail the leader to you turn for home, sprintlane and win !!! lol no thinking needed lol.

hahaha that is crazy funny Davis. You are a positive see the best in people person (but possibly a sarcastic one hahaha) and that is funny beyond words. very good. If 4bury is a passionate harness racing supporter then NZ harness racing in great hands ! ? lol... or not ....lol Sheree , Mark, Andrew, Jessica and others all having a go on the track , it's a very very competitive sport, usually only one winner per race, and it is jolly hard work to be that winner too. FUN FACT the broodmare is TWIST AND TWIRL and Mark took her to Victoria in winter 2012 . she won 5 times and was 2nd in the Group 1 Breeders crown to another kiwi Cheer The Lady trained by his brother I think?

Hahaha yes a "Consortium' Effort with the training of the"Superstable" .The Aus equivalent of Allstars ? Luke keeps his name OFF the trainers list so he can 'Freelance 'drive. Chris Alford does this in Vic with success and Pete McMullen up here in QLD as well. (horses trained in wifes name) Incidently Pete drove a fantastic race to beat Luke and also Grant Dixon's star 3 yearold last night at big odds in a three year old feature. Pete is amazing driver.

the King is swinging Bigtime Hunter ! he's a monster in his races at the moment. Not sure with ChaseAuckland what is doing. But did see I'm Anothermasterpiece won last night , his third win in six starts since going to Vic from Allstars in September. Hey ,Thanks for the tip with DUKE, he raced Wednesday and 2nd beaten 1/2 head at Redcliffe. close !

Cogratulations to NZ for producing the star KING OF SWING (Ray Green won a big race (crown) in Melbourne with him a couple of years ago), maybe Ray will get heaps with his latest star American Dealer there? what a fine horseman.! He just now donkey Licked the GROUP 1 Queensland Championship field at $1.50. Luke McCarthy (driving like Mark P )with 4 wins and 3 seconds from his 7 races tonight. Our local hope COLT THIRTY ONE a distant second , and TURN IT UP from Nz running third. KING OF SWING this year since joining McCarthy has 10 wins (including the Miracle mile) and 3 seconds from 13 starts . What a horse he is !!! more to come you would think

A few of these blokes/sheilas in these threads think they can outdrive Mark Purdon , lol....the greatest trainer the country has ever seen. Hilarious ! You , my friend ,are on a hiding to nothing , unless you can improve on Marks efforts?? lol
