Think I'll name a horse CHIEF STIPE if I race another one . Bound to get some favourable treatment in the stewards room with a name like that. NOODLUM name already taken by the great 2 yearold in the 1970's. But Naming your horse BRODIE ? mmmmmm , well could be more of a stable-name ok, but as a race-horse?? Would he even be fast enough to Qualify? Bit of a barrier Rogue in all likelihood as well lol......

1-0 down for the All-Whites overnight, so 'No World Cup' for NZ later in the year unfortunately. But chin Up Mikey !! Chris Waller and James MAc just did NZ Verry proud on the World Stage overnight !!! Winning the Kings Stand at 'Royal Ascot' (biggest race meet in the world being held each day this week) with NATURE STRIP blasting away from the field by 5 lengths !! (might just be better than Gammalite that horse lol....) And then Waller gave the Southern Hemisphere breeding and his and James Mac (the jock) NZ heritage a Big Plug during the World Broadcast post race Interview, and Thus, putting NZ on the Map !! excellent stuff.......

The English racing channel was brilliant all through the night. fantastic. they kept cutting to Simon Marshall back in Auss and our great Victorian commentator as well. What a Win by NATURE STRIP !!! blasting away from the field in the Kings Stand. (first run 1860) I think Waller with the Verry Elleegant Melbourne Cup and now Nature Strip conquering the world , he has surpassed Winx in performances. What a beauty. And more great news too, Chris Waller made sure he 'plugged himself' and James Mac as New-Zealanders during the interview to give their initial training/ learning country a Bit of Credit too. Bring on the Jubilee Saturday !!

Yeeeeeeessss ! The Aussie Socceroos are through to the 2022 World Cup vanquishing Peru just now.!! the Son and I were up at 4am kickoff to cheer them on, as is a HUGE thing for this sporting nation. wahoo. We will be back up at 4 tomorrow morning to Cheer full on for the NZ All Whites as well !!! Go kiwis to join the Aussies at the World Cup later in year. (It's bigger than the Olympics on a global scale ) May the footy gods see the All-whites through over Costa Rica Wednesday . com'on boys !! you can do it.

Here's a treat for you then Walt. A nice pic of Gina Marie parading for Jack after winning the NI Standardbred Breeders Stakes. She went on to make 'Open' Class as a four year old , but in that crop of 4 year olds were Lord Module, Locarno and Royden Scott so mares were not much chance against them in the feature races. (unless you are Delightful Lady lol...)

Gave the winning drive to my good friend gentleman Jim O'Sullivan as well for the Big Win at Moonie Valley. Was a thrill to see that race go. have heaps of clippings from those glory days. here's one now . nice one Jack and Jim !! Sir Castleton also winning an Interdominion in Australia (1984) for your great trotters . Getting revenge on Scotch Notch winning the trotters Inter GF at Auckland for the late Graeme Lang . the mighty legend Gammalite striking victory in the pacers section in both those years !!! 1983 and 1984

INCA Case Finally Dropped Against X, Y and Z
Gammalite replied to Chief Stipe's topic in Trotting Chat
Fair enough. No money Trail through betting at corporates almost certainly means " why would it be a race-fix?" so why perservere chasing it as such . a No Win situation for sure....... You do need to investigate things that a complaint is lodged about to a degree. Many sexual assault cases are impossible to adjudicate as evidence is very sketchy , but the investigation still needs to happen , even though a No Win situation seems the imminent result on a lot of occasion. Personally I think the social media cry of 'planted' evidence by 'corrupt' officials in (INCA) etc is a bit much. How the hell would any of these social media experts know what was planted where ? etc.... seems rubbish to me. Agreed though , If NO evidence to proceed to trial . DROP IT , and 'Next Case please'.. bound to be more Alfords ? lol... -
INCA Case Finally Dropped Against X, Y and Z
Gammalite replied to Chief Stipe's topic in Trotting Chat
Agreed Chief, they do seem 'unwilling to prosecute ' in NZ . you almost need a confession lol..... In Aus they DID prosecute with the phone text and especially BETTING evidence which 'high-lighted' the fraud going on. Race-fixing in Aus is now called Match -fixing and is a criminal offence. You are arrested by police, It isn't an in-house penalty anymore controlled by stipes or anything . YES !! betting stings still happen. We had many in my day too. Usually just involved a good horse going to the front . No other drivers/ trainers were paid (as far as I know) ..... Race fixing involves 2 (or more) runners being driven in a manner to favour the 'Plunge' horse. as you know . these are the ones INCA and Aus authorities are interested in. To Galah , myself and others that have driven races we can spot those, compared to a plunge runner backed from 4's to even money because we know it is a good fast horse. -
INCA Case Finally Dropped Against X, Y and Z
Gammalite replied to Chief Stipe's topic in Trotting Chat
Possibly Chief. ANy evidence gathered is good for getting that what is needed to get rid of the cheats. Usually a betting sting or a race fixing sting would involve 'Phone communication' Convictions were made in QLD from the evidence texts of a disqualified person who 'currupted ' a trainer and driver(s) to get his 3k bet on . A very sad situation , but the folk did their time and are back in action. (apart from the MORON who texted them . And they are once again getting some good winners at Albion. Wish these DQ gambling F'Heads would piss off and leave the active participants alone IMO. ... -
Pretty ordinary standing start. 4 gallopers enough to cause plenty of pain to punters and trailing horses . as are not used to that caper. 'Ban the stand' I say lol ... The 2 Backmarkers off 20m were WAY Too Good . Mach Shard and Turn It Up easily running the Quinella. and old mate , a beaut ex-pat kiwi LL COOL J , a former Herlihy horse completing a handy $60 Trifecta. Absolute certainty beat by not getting clear run. Finished HARD HELD on back of winner , never getting a crack. very unlucky indeed. $1.50 place div here. (unfortunately I only had him for a win as couldn't resist the $4.40 on offer lol.) but anyway will win by Panels next week if draws front line.

I know you have long felt apocalyptic opinion regarding your nation and trotting Brodster , but chin Up mate. No feature race is a farce (Yole loads Tas trotting fields with 10 runners sometimes , Now That's a Farce !! lol..) Maybe the fillies should of gone in with colts ??? 12 horse field then . And a good race. Still there were plenty at the yearling sales shelling out Big bucks. NOT just Allstars clients. Herlihy did well the other night and won the time-honoured Rowe Cup. and spends up. His lovely wife Suzanne gets her girl-friends involved and they all race horses in shares togeather and have FUN. Think she is still in old Temporale too ?. So get a mogb togeather like that, and you can race one . easy peesey. $9k races are FINE. as long as your trainer good enough to keep running placings. More chance if only 7 in it too lol... (any race ) I'd be quite happy to be racing one or 2 in Auckland these days with the smaller fields. Bound to get in the money rather than those horrid 14 horse fields that were the norm for a long time? . (AND were Extremely hard to Win ) (unless you are Gammalite😉)
-
Well it seems they are not driving this Sunday either. That Gives the rivals heaps of chance to win then in my book ? surely the rivals fancy out-driving Cox (recently beaten on many ,many Allstars runners and the junior Olivia T on others ?. Allstars (Mark and Nat ) appear to be giving rivals ample chance to beat them ? and yet you still grizzle.... oh well....
-
Catch up Brodster. They turn 3 for racing purposes at January 1st. you not on the money again ???? The big November Carnival will host great 2 year old races this year in all likelihood.???? AND why is Olivia driving these 2 year olds on Sunday ? and Not Nat ? are Allstars trying to get beat ?? lol.......
-
Well Dunns did a good job dominating trots past couple of years . Sundee and Highgrove winning all sorts of things (Oscar did win a group 1 though for Allstars, so Mark didn'rt miss out altogeather) Hope stable trotters in turn taking it up to Sundee with Muscle Mountain , etc. so all good ??? Pacers section saw Ray Green with Copy That knocking off Allstars champion in the NZ Cup ??? American Dealer went ok as well. all good ?? .... Krug took the Derby double last season. So My Half Brain tells me the other Trainers are doing Fine !!! lol......

Well the performance lifts as well. so nothing will change except Aus folk will look for more of em " TOWN ECHO has the picket fence of wins . 5 from 5. Blazing out 1.52 miles every time in April/ May. Not sure if she counts as a 'good' mare or not in NZ as just had the 1 Win this campaign from 12 starts , and that was with Newman at Rangiora junior drivers race ( moderate form while being raced at the leading Dunn stable? ) TOWN ECHO's new trainer, Jack Trainor is proving a 'Grand Trainer ' indeed . and Hart exceptional driver too. Awesome result in THE RACE and Messenger too when visited Nz recently.
-
I'll watch out for that one. THE HONEY QUEEN is already winning for Team McCarthy and Aucklanders the Green family in some mares races at Menangle . Another former Aucklander mare PEARL HARBOUR runs a place every week there as well. What happened to LA ROSA ? she pushed champ 3 year old filly Bettor Twist to a couple of nose photos last season in some features. for Mark Jones and Sam Ottley. thought she would be pummeling some wins this year. Jones and Ottley would push hard at Dunns, Allstars and Telfers in better class races, if someone would give them some horses to work with ........

One for the Roc De Cambes enthusiasts. A rare one starting in OZ.
Gammalite replied to Chief Stipe's topic in Galloping Chat
Bit of a site for Zombies ya reckon lol.... hahahaha..... now thats funny lol. also mean same as this , I just had 50 on MARCOLT at 10-1, because you guys were talking Pat Payne runners , and it just ran 2nd to Vituvius at Sandown (who i had riding on the quaddie final leg a month ago for a huge collect, when beaten a head by Sir Davy). Vitruvius back from the dead to haunt me again....lol. wish he had an undertaker hahahe -

Great win by Gate Crash today !!!. Patrick Payne runners 10 wins since last Sunday. Good for the wallet. Excellent Trainer. and Mickey Dee one of the best too. Also excellent to see Joe and Nomates posting again instead of blaming Chief for everything lol...... No good being big sooks like the Doubting Thomass and Not posting . Doesn't achieve anything lol...... -
The kiwis are smacking the local champ COLT THIRTYONE to pieces. Alas Mach Shard has turned up and Albion are running 2600m stands like NZ or something . 😩. Mach Shard cleaning up last week , and even with the addition of former Aucklnad Cup winner TURN IT UP , looks set for victory again . Turn It Up now leased by Vicki (Nat's sister) and going like a bomb. Mach Shard still raced for the 3 kiwis including Katrina (Barry Purdon's wife)... 20m won't stop em. !!!! Mach Shard was 2nd last turning for home last week , And Then Still WON. He's a beauty. Kiwibreds to get all 3 placings again this week ?? GO COLT !!! More kiwi losses. But the Bromace continues.

Wow what a ride on Pinarello to win the Queensland Derby!
Gammalite replied to Chief Stipe's topic in Galloping Chat
Great effort Chief. Did a bit on the the other kiwi which looked a special, but got Destroyed lol. Great win and plunge on the kiwi winner too. well done Nz !!! -
BRODIE... YOUR PRAYERS HAVE BEEN ANSWERED... YOU CAN GET MORE ON!!!
Gammalite replied to Davis's topic in Trotting Chat
Fixed win I believe Mikey. The TAB are paying out up to $2000 with one win bet. (should be able to put $1000 on a 2-1 shot it seems. ) I do remember a couple of $1000 bets I had a while back . both on a 2-1 on shot (won $500 both times with easy leader NZ bred horse ) They just about have to be past the post propositions before i'd risk a grand on them. lol.... otherwise you lose the enjoyment of the racing and just worry about the money instead . thats not much fun at all. $2000 seems a nice collect. would do me for a month. -
Worst named horse in NZ! Why would you seriously????
Gammalite replied to Brodie's topic in Trotting Chat
Australia voted yesterday and the Greens got a heap of votes too. A New Government of LABOR is coming in after 10 years in opposition. That'll please Brodster ? to see some more Labor geography around the place lol.... Wonder if Aus goes the same way as NZ now ? apparently 'Climate Change ' is the chief reason for change of government . What a dumb mob lol... It's still heavy rain in Qld today (been a lot this year) Can't see the Labor Party stopping it for some reason. weather is weather, climate is climate hahahaha, the rediculous 'Covid' rules put the pressure on people everywhere, and That is the reason people are struggling and Wanted a change. fricken flu. Worst named NZ horse today at Rangiora after all that ??? must be 'LooksLikeATrixter' in race 6. -
Was asking as last year Classie Brigade had the trail behind Copy That in the NZ Cup and couldn't take advantage. STEEL THE SHOW (who trailed 3 back the fence) ran past him into 4th for the 'Diamond Dunn' team and wasn't too. far from the top ones in Self Assured and South Coast Arden who filled the placings. Good picking tonight then Walt ! you're on a winner. As for the Cup , he'd have to be HANDS DOWN like to qualify from loose class in Autumn to get in the Cup and win in the Spring. Hand's Down only one I can think of who did it .
