  1. Pretty much the same, I use cutlets in my tandoori cutlets, which are very yummy, Good as any out there. I roast all my spices. Hj

  3. As I mentioned I buy bulk, as in whole lamb, so I know the cost for everything. I will get a pic of the one I'm getting this arvo. I will get a lot of meat off that one carcass. I've never seen lamb for $11kg anywhere. Hj
  4. Last time I looked at lamb loin chops at new world they were $24kg. I'm not buying at those prices. Hj
  5. Day to day stuff is new world as its just up the road, daughter and grandson here as well as between homes. I love new world choices. Not a fan of pack and slap. Hj
  6. I'm in chch, I do all cooking here (I'm very good, Indian, Italian and Thai my faves, ) so I buy most of the meat here. Lamb $12 kg whole lamb from halal butcher. I butcher it Chicken $9 kg. I buy from 2 suppliers Beef. $21 kg eye fillet, I buywhole fillets. Also halal $17 kg porterhouse. I buy whole strip. Horse fees has been covered on another thread. I'm currently in a syndicate with a harness horse. $180 for 10% share. Veges here are ridiculous but I still pay. Agria potato here I get from the farm 10 kg $7 Bulk is always best. Your training for gallopers on a level with a friend who has a horse with Te akau. Be aware..... There are ratbags in all codes Hj

  15. I had a better strike rate than that. Good broodmares by good sires, and go to good proven sires, not the cheap ones. I stopped at the right time. Good proven trainers help as well. Hj

  18. An update from my friend. On said horse. It's been sacked and she has bills saying it attended trials and hitouts recently. With vet and farrier bills included as well. Still, nowhere near as bad as that maggot Kerr. Hj

  23. I know of one trainer who has 10% in horses for $160 a month. They are IMHO good honest trainers. I used to pay $700a month cash for whole horse years ago. About 10 years ago. Just saaaaying.
