  1. Well, I say FUCK the so called law. Let's get back to some sensible and less stressful living patterns like many of the overseas countries are doing.
  2. You may well be correct. I'd like to see Gollan and Freedman help her learn and maybe Monkey Munce can give her a few pointers as well. Whatever the outcome she needed to get some overseas experience. Lisa came back an ever better rider.
  3. Agreed, she does, but it was never going to be easy. Sam has a good work ethic and a personality that will take her a long way. Two plus three has been there a lot longer and obviously is there for the lifestyle and not the rewards.
  4. Couldn't tell you, but I am positive both like eating them. Anyway, what's that got to do with them choosing not to continue riding on a slippery surface at Matamata today?
  5. When Vinny and Trudy complain, there is obviously a problem. Trudy is as hard as last month's leftover bread and Scrooge McVinny wouldn't be in a hurry to lose his riding fees. As Centaur mentions above, a trial this morning would have sorted it out, surely.
  6. Has a terrific opportunity to kick a few goals at Ipswich today and increase her profile in the Queensland riding ranks. Has already ridden the first winner and has some excellent rides for both Tony Gollan and Lee Freedman to come.
  7. Was there any consideration given by NZTR and the Matamata track manager to transferring the meeting to the AWT at Cambridge in the past 24 hours? If not why not?
  8. Thomarse, I do hope you got onto that one in the first at Wagga.
  9. I recall I read she had gone amiss after that Dunstan Quilifying run at Te Rapa in November.
  10. Posted, couriered or hand delivered by vestal virgins, it won't matter this week. She has allegedly improved lengths since that run at Ellerslie. She might even lead.
  11. My man with the binocs on the hill behind the owner and trainers joint, said he lip read that it wouldn't have mattered if they were suspended or not. He did add that anyone with a lisp does cause his interpretations to be possibly mistaken. Has Rogie got a lisp?
  12. Good to get your agreement Thomarse, and as anticipated a new hoop atop this time. J Riddell.
  13. The 1600 m start point at Trentham allows options for those drawn wide, but it is still not ideal to be coming out of the outside barrier. I can see her sitting outside leader before the big bend and coming down the middle of the track in the run home. New Zealand's best maiden should be saluting this week.
  14. Thank you Chief. Lewis was a great mate and we lost him far too soon. I note with interest that David has shares in some well bred youngsters purchased by James Harron, including the Slipper targeted PHILOSOPER, who is running tomorrow in the Blue Diamond Prelude.
  15. I mentioned this young lady a few weeks ago. Only has 12 horses in work and some are very average but she is starting to hit her straps. Keep and eye on her.
  16. I though Henry Peachtree's comment re Ellis (after their success at the weekend) was interesting: "David does buy a few at value"
  17. From the horse's mouth, so to speak. "NZTR uploads videos of trials on the same day as the trial meeting. If, for some reason a video is not available, we have to wait for Trackside to provide the footage. This generally takes 2-3 days." They are usually pretty good so check in a couple of hours.....worth a look !!
  18. NICE..... Get a look at the video when they put it up. Sat wide under a hold and never let her head go at any time.
  19. PSSSSSS.......don't say a word to anyone.........the filly was given a week of swimming and sunshine on her back and has freshened up beautifully, apparently, according to my mole with the binos on the hill behind Rogie's palace.... and is literally bucking her brands off - she is one tough nut - so is having a trial at Te Rapa tomorrow against the big boys and girls to tighten the inner workings........and be ready to go again in a couple of weeks......but you didn't hear it from me.
  20. And once again, they fuck it up, and totally miss the target.
  21. That track is PERFECT. Well done to all concerned.
  22. Agreed, it was a very poor attempt and I apologize for it. My solution is simple. I breed them here and ship them to Oz where the programming, prize money and participants are appreciated. Our racing industry is in a sad downhill decline. Our breeding industry, while much smaller than a few years ago, is still regarded highly and that is being reflected on the Gold Coast this week.
  23. Steady Reefton, don't blow a valve. You must have learnt by now that when it comes to discussing ANY topic with our Chief, you need to be able to read his body language. For example, we know he likes to stick his nose into many areas. His tongue seems to be close to particular industry participant's privates. His backside has a habit of spurting hot air, and His feet have a habit of inhabiting his mouth. So sit back and relax and observe and enjoy. After all, he does provide the means for us to have the opportunity to have a laugh.
