Also UNAVAILABLE are the results of this mornings trials on the AWT. Do they still have telecommunications at Riccarton or will the results be sent by saddle pony to Picton to catch the overnight ferry to Petone, and posted at a later stage? I note all 15 of the Foxton trial videos are already posted, as are many of Cambridge's. -

Well done Sam. It might be claimed as an Aussie win but there was a Kiwi involved. Brilliant effort on the bag of his good mate "Mullet Man Cam" at St Andrews. It's been a long journey - a great article in NZ Golf magazine from a couple of years ago https://nzgolfmagazine.co.nz/the-caddy-life-sam-pinfold/ but well worth the effort. Sam loves his horses, with runners in both Australia and NZ.

Robertson = winning concepts and design and has a unique ability to get his team to play for each other to deliver on field Foster = inability to get a team to work as a cohesive unit = totally reliant on individual brilliance to get results = too predictable in pattern Well done to Ireland.

C'mon Mikey lad Give my mate Kelvin a break - every tradesman deserves a holiday and I can't think of any better place to be than the Sunshine Coast and Brissy right now. Let's face it mate, your own record of recent achievements and bookkeeping is somewhat shabby, is it not? Last time the private eye boys take a peep into your pottie, there was some dried up old semen, some infested fungus from a piece of 3 month old KFC and a pile of rotting old losing TAB tickets that you looked like you had been wiping your arse with. None of us is perfect Mickey, but you shouldn't mock a man having a go as Kelvin is. Now, have you got a tip for today. Mine is....never trust an electrician with no eyebrows.

Freda, you were robbed. Your lass got caught with her pants down and by the time she had pulled them up, the race was over. Next time for sure.

I hope the young lady is ok and heals quickly. I am however reminded of a time when my first wife and I were on holiday on the Gold Coast and I had not enjoyed a profitable day on the punt. My wife: I need help quickly, my Husband is trying to jump out of the window, and we are on the 14th floor. Receptionist: Okay calm down, do you need police and an Ambulance? My wife: No I need maintenance, the fucking window won't open.

The word on the street is that if you hold fast to love around 4.06pm today, you might get a quinella and exacta.

I've enjoyed reading this thread. Some excellent comments and a lot of accurate reality regarding the current NZ situation. I've stated on here a couple of times that I won't race a horse in NZ again. I love breeding them here though. The minerals in our soil are "GOLD". Our mares thrive here and deliver foals that blossom and mature, under the watchful eyes of world class horse men and woman, who understand what it takes to nurture and teach. We are so blessed to have this equine environment. Quite frankly, I couldn't give a flying fig what it costs to get my youngsters ready to go to trial. It's part of the business planning of getting a horse to the races. I have a rising 2YO gelding who has just finished an 8 week session with a quality breaker in the Hawkes Bay. The cost was around $4500 including farrier, vet and transport to and from the Waikato. Sometime before Xmas, it will cost me another $6500 to put him on a plane to Sydney and then 10 weeks of training and fingers crossed he might, just might, make it to a country Monday meeting at Goulburn where the prize money is a bloody site more than a maiden race here in Taupo. That's a lot of beer money to invest but do I enjoy it. Absobloodylutely. His younger full brother will follow the same pattern next year and my mare is booked this season to an exciting new stallion - exciting times - it's what I love and enjoy being a part of. On the other hand, Petone is full of fat, lazy, overpaid, under achieving flatheads, many of whom have had anything to do with racing before they joined. As a result our racing industry is Donald ducked. As someone once said "Why is it that stupid people are so full of confidence". Now, how long to the first at Eagle Farm?

Wow what a ride on Pinarello to win the Queensland Derby!

He does........... apparently. Stallions mainly. Well done to all concerned. -
Race 1 at Sale today is a 2YO race with a couple of well thought of starters trained by the Freedmans and Pistol Pete Moody. The Freedman colt is an interesting one for sure. The NZ TAB would have you believe he is something super extraordinaire - in fact he might have been wrapped in ice and kept in the freezer just waiting for his day in the sun. Those folk at the NZ TAB might even believe in ghosts, and this colt could be a modern day Casper. According to them, this 2YO colt running in a 2YO restricted race today at Sale, was, unbelievably, trained by Roger James in 2018, a full two years before he was supposedly born in NSW. Who to believe. And who Knew ???????

Who knew Irish born, Sydney based hoop Robbie Dolan, was a crooner of the highest order. His first appearance on THE VOICE last night was terrific. Take a look on Twitter

As you will be aware, I am a big fan of this young lass and like to follow her progress..... (I have a rising 2YO that has been broken in and will head her way if things go to plan). As of today her stats for the season read ok. She has a couple nominated for the country cup meeting at Orange this Friday who could be worth keeping an eye on. Her ROI of 67% is NO 1 of all Australian trainers. -
Sam and Anthony Freedman and their pilot, Craig Froggy Newitt will still be wiping egg off their faces today, after the Group 1 Newmarket yesterday. I imagine Froggy spent the time immediately after the race hiding in the dunny, fearful of the verbal lashing he quite rightly deserved, from pissed off punters after a shambolic decision to go wide in the race. His mount drew well in barrier two, yes TWO, but was on the outside fence after 50 metres. The fence had been fair in earlier races but connections, in their wisdom, said to the croaky one, make a beeline to the outside the moment you jump. Watch the replay. It will bring tears to your eyes. According to the post race interview, they thought it better to be out wide with the favorites. Idiots. Next time give me a ring and I will issue the riding instructions. PS Well done the Kiwis. Fantastic result.

Brodie's Views on NZ Politics and Vaccines #22,356

You know the rules Jason. To be involved in any capacity as a licenced person in NZ, you must be rooting a trainer or jockey's wife or daughter and have posted the video on Farcebook or Titagram. It's the standard set by Petone and don't they live by it.

Nice result with the first of her two runners today. The second was the more preferred so will be interesting to watch. -
Meanwhile, The Duck is wondering what the pain in his back could possibly be. I'll give you a hint Trev. Look at your feet you conniving cockhead. That's your blood on the floor.
