Karrots, firstly the NZ Tab needs to be taken to task continuously in regards to the Treatment of many punters in NZ! I will continue to post about this while I am on BOAY. What I am saying is that the-act of locking people down every time there is a positive test thousands of miles away can not continue!!!! The fact is that the only ones that have been hospitalised and or died are the vulnerable people and mostly were from Rosewood Dimentia ward! Without them the death toll of people that died WITH Covid19 wouldve been about 12!!!! There is around 800 die every week in NZ from other causes, and it is estimated that during lockdown 3 and 4, there wouldve been approx. 200 Females that didnt have breast cancer diagnosed due to not have the tests!!!!! So the statement that the Government in NZ is making decisions to protect all New Zealanders, with respect is just plain BULLSHIT!!! It is time that the sheep that listen to Ardern and Bloomfield every word, wake up to the fact that the decisions being made have got bigger dire results than looking good on a pedestal!!!!! That Dickhead you have in Melbourne also is just a control freak as well!!

Gama, everything that Chief has said is totally correct! The selfishness of a lot people is unbelievable! I have heard oldies ring up on talkback and say that young ones dont care about the older ones and should not be thinking about themselves!!! Reality is that the COVID19 lockdown is not a killer and the lockdown is! If you are scared of it and think you are vulnerable then lock yourself down! Locking everyone down every time that there is a positive case is just crazy shit! The country can not continue to do this and business and people lives are going to continue to suffer. The fact is as I have said on numerous times is that not one person has been killed solely due to Covid19!!! Financially on a personal note we have done exceptionally well out of it, however for the majority of business people, they are getting a hammering and many will just not survive!!!

Gamma, firstly wish I could send my mum down to the shops! Secondly, All Lives do matter, of course! What I would put my second to last million on, is that there is going to be a helluva lot more deaths caused by being locked up or down , than what Covid19 is ever going to kill! There has not been a single death in NZ to anyone that had good health from Covid19. There has and will be many more deaths to many with good health due to mental health issues caused from lockdowns and business failure!!!!!! People need to wake up to the fact that there will always be virus’s and that shutting down the country just does not work! The common influenza every year normally kills many hundreds in NZ every year but this Government doesnt mention this, as it does not fit with Arderns agenda!!

Take a look at the Greyhounds where 2 kennels in the North Island have dominated with no.s! Greyhounds look like they may be on the way out within the next few years, and with Swarbrick having a vigilante against them, not looking fantastic!

Basil, what this Covid19 thing has shown to me is just t how easily controlled people can be!!! We had weeks of Ardern and Bloomfield wanking on about being kind, washing hands, social bloody distancing etc. Many months after the South Island has had not a single case in the community, we still have so many Dickheads scanning barcodes so they can be tracked doWn! These people clearly want to be controlled! How they have survived in society up until now is a bit mystifying? FFS this Covid 19, socalled deadly virus that is now continuing to mutate, is a very mild virus and we will have a lot worse come thru in The years ahead! The common flu virus that we get every year kills hundreds, so why havent we locked down before now? Of course this is a very divisive subject and most people will have an opinion, however if you are scared, then just stay at home and let the sane people live their life!!! 2 of the socalled positive tests went to the Taranaki and yet Taranaki is only Level 2 like the rest of the Country??? I reiterate, the Government is the most incompetent NZ has ever had to endure without doubt!!!

Trotsfan, I wasnt going to start the debate, as some would think it was just AllStars bashing again! While Purdon is still around the stable I wouldnt be guaranteeing anything! Personally think it is a load of BS that was announced in regards to taking a break from the horses! There is more to it than just needing a break or he and training partner would not be around and Purdon wouldnt be needing to drive the horses! There is no doubt whatsoever that the early stages is clearly showing that the stable horses are no where near as dominating as they were, which is great news for harness racing going forward. What I would put my last million on would be that if Purdon/Rasmussen were not involved with the AllStars stable, the stable would not be dominating anywhere near where it was. If the same results were not happening the existing owners would vote with their feet! It was just great to see the money spread around on Premier night, even though the fields were awful for punting on!

I do not believe that there are too many people coming thru the race course gates nowadays, that havent got a horse racing or are associated with harness stables, The punters have been turned off from going by the rules on wagering that the NZ TAB have adopted! What is the point of the bigger punters turning up when they have to identify themselves and are limited to how much they can wager??? The amounts in the tote pools have dwindled significantly and the Bookies restrictions are also affecting turnover. I wouldnt be believing of all the clap trap about betting increasing on harness coming out of the TAB!!!!

Just looked at the fields for Friday night! The fields are not worth punting into as there will be no value and all the divvies are going to be pathetic and fixed odds short! Another meeting that is going to be a loss for the club!
