Plenty laying around, were you wanting some?
-
Dougie, would not have thought they wouldve paid much for Vigoroso! Not an agent or sold anything for years. I am sure someone will know!
-
How good is Vigoroso going in Oz! 4 starts and 4 very easy wins all in August since being exported. This horse raced mainly at Forbury and was trained by Denis O’Connell at Waikouiti, but is now trained and driven By Amanda Turnbull. He won 3 races in NZ in over 70 starts and did show some some finishing speed at times but since being in Oz has grown an extra couple of legs! Watched it lead all the way and was never in doubt! The presenter even said that Vigoroso was a very good horse lol The horse looked very well and muscled up and looked like it had even gone a darker colour! It just goes to show that if you have an average battling horse in NZ, it is probably going to be very competitive in most parts of Ozzie!

Correct Happy. They gave it to My Eyre! Robbie Holmes hooks out on the home bend and it wins, but only running for a place today, clearly!!
-
You said that business have the right to treat people differently
-
Ranga, you certainly know how to kick for touch! Reality is that you know that the way the TAB operates is wrong, and your defence of it is just so you can be a tosser!
-
So you are saying if you were running a business and you didnt like people of a different race, you would not be dealing with them??
-
Minstrel would not have beaten Wild Irish if it was leading and Wild Irish trailed!!! Wild Irish went better than Minstrel who had the easier run in the trail and only got there by a small nostril. No I didnt think Majestic Man was any value at $2. I do not invest on shorties whatsoever! And correct, I can not offload on anything nowadays, and to be fair the Friday night fields are not making for great punting anyway!
-
So on that basis Ranga, in your opinion, can a business choose not to welcome people of different race or colour? On what basis does the NZ TAB choose to not accept wagers from certain punters?
-
Fair enough, I was not attacking Matt Peden, and good on him for coming on to Trackside, He may well only be a market pricer and not being paid for his Trackside efforts! However, by being on air for the TAB, he is condoning what the NZ TAB is doing with their Bookies! He comes on and says that there are bets of this and that at odds, all the time knowing that his employer the NZ TAB is not allowing other punters to wager!! The fact is that there are punters all around NZ not being allowed to place wagers on horses that the NZ TAB put up odds for! If they dont want to accept bets and be a Bookmaker in NZ, then get out the fixed odds market and go back to totalisator only. It is a blatant disgrace that in this day and age that they only allow certain punters to net a few hundred dollars!!!!!!!! And Phil Holden states that he wants to drive turnover up???????
-
If the NZ TAB is only accepting losing punters, then they need to advertise the fact, otherwise it is misrepresentation! NZ TAB only accept wagering from losing punters, and if you are wanting to be a winning punter, piss off you are not welcome as a customer! Bet responsibly providing you are only going to be a consistent losing punter!

Very Sorry to hear that Ross passed away, Jolter. Always a great leveller, and puts things into perspective. Hopefully the horse goes a beauty tomorrow!
-
Ranga, you said that it was ok to treat people differently, didnt you say? So on what basis is it that business is allowed to treat people some people favourably and others not, in your opinion?
-
They were able to net $2,500 If that is what the NZ TAB allowed, then let every punter be allowed to net $2,500 and not just 10% of that amount! It is just blatant BS that they are allowed to get away with it, however the punters are voting with their feet And the tote pools are pathetic nowadays compared to a few years ago!
-
Ranga, do you agree that business should be able to treat people of colour differently to people of non colour.
-
If a small nostril is a mile off the money then maybe. Reality is that Minstrel doesnt win if Wild Irish hadve dropped in behind minstrel rather than Leading. Point is that Minstrel was shockingly unders at $2
-
You what? What on earth is that meant to mean? Hopefully with new executive replacing the previous ones. There may well be a change in thought processes, as they certainly need it!
-
So you agree with the right for business to treat people differently, Ranga?
-
We protests going on around the world at the moment if you had not realised, Ranga! What is the protests about Ranga? It is about people up and arms about how they are being treated and think they are being treated unfairly! The NZ TAB is treating many punters unfairly by allowing certain people to wager what they want and others can not do this! They put up the fixed odds and invite you to have a gamble! Some people are allowed to gamble what they want and many others are not being allowed To. If they want to limit an amount anyone can win per bet or race, then tell everyone and limit everyone!! If they dont want to be Bookies then change your name to something else more appropriate, as they are not Bookies at all. It is not right to treat people differently and favouring some over others
-
CP, not attacking Matt Peden at all, I am sure he is a great bloke. As everyone knows I am attacking the policy of the NZ TAB treating some punters totally unfairly. What they do with it is their business, however I can guarantee that it is having a huge detrimental effect on turnover and therefore stakes distribution to harness. The TAB need punters so it is up to them.
-
As Happy posted the NZ Tab has brought out the fixed odds a day before the meeting! This is fantastic and must be encouraged! This is fine for those that are able to get money on in a reasonable amount!!!! However, NZ TAB how about being a betting agency and accepting the wagers from punters that are now restricted to amounts that do not make it worthwhile. The odds are always in your favour, but you never play FAIR!! You let some punters on and not others, why are you so selective and u fair? All you are doing is ensuring that you lose enthusiasts interest in racing and that is going to continually be a nail in harness racings coffin unfortunately! Come on NZ TAB be KIND!.
-
What we can probably safely say is that the other stables will be running for minor placings at best. You never know though with the standing starts as to What you are going to get on the day! Hopefully everyone is allowed oncourse as it will be catastrophic for the club otherwise, as we all have to be very wary of this killer virus!
-
Huge improvement from Westeros in a better field than it has been racing before! Very good training performance to get a bit of a rogue into winning form! Must be the beach training !
-
Hope whoever gets on take the Clayton Bookmakers for what they can! They deserve to be cleaned up by those that can still get on! Matt Peden, Boomaker spokesperson for the Bookies in Wellington, how about. being a Bookmaker and let all the punters in NZ get their wagers on! I thought a Bookmaker was supposed to put up odds and then punters take them? You let some punters on for thousands and yet others get a pittance on!! Matt, Is this the way the NZ TAB are going to continue to operate?? NZ TAB arent interested in that, they pick and choose who that let wager with them!
-
Winning bet by a small nostril! Brave punter but had positions in the running been reversed and you would not have been collecting. Think I wouldve trailed Minstrel if I was driving the runnerup, and it wouldve won! Well done, I think?
