    When I lived in the UK I would put a big bet on if it was 0-0 on first half goals to stay 0-0 at half time I like you got stung really bad.....you don't realise how many goals are scored in the 43rd or 44th minutes!

    I remember they used to have the $10,000 bonus for winning Westport, Reefton and Greymouth over the Christmas period, Steven john doing the job in the mid 80's....used to like the race commentator Ian chambers very good caller on the coast.

    What are people's take on one trainer having every dog in one race or 99% dogs in a race? For myself that is really poor that these races are allowed to be punted on, they should be non tote You see it alot with McInerney and Cole the 2 most contraversial trainers in the country. If I was punting on the greys these would be the races I wouldn't touch with a barge pole.

    Yes I remember dragons pride up in Auckland, I'm pretty sure your right that max Harvey purchased and B.P trained..some really good intermediate trotters in Auckland around the time dragons pride came north.

    Having said that, isn't that part of the uniqueness of NZ racing, whether it be a rugby pitch in the middle or a golf course, the likes of Kaikoura or ruakaka with the sea within touching distance, it's great.. a few cows wouldn't put me off having a bet......I think your onto something though Don, get that bull to whyndham asap

    Another thing that pisses me off is that it tells me I have something in my bet slip when I don't, so when I actually put a bet on it says 2 things in bet slip and won't let me put the bet on....so have to delete new bet which wipes "ghost" betslip and I have to rewrite new bet!!
