She'd have to have the worst dose of girl flu, a wide draw, miss the start by 3-4 lengths and thw worst ride in bowman's career... or he could just fall off with 150m to go !! -

yes i catch your drift, PD..he didnt repay the syndicate for their investment! Calling the horse Hasselpoof was bit mean don't you think? The intentions were good..he just developed 'issues' ans never realised his potential. He was a huge bugger, rather intimidating up close!

How good was Hello It's Me...half-ready definitely on the chubby side in the parade ring, hasnt had a run since New Year's Day, carried 59 gave weight and an ears-pricked beating to the rest. without getting out of third gear. Will take a ton of improvement from it and is clearly headed for better things.

Pretty sure it was the Sydenham Hurdles, and Temperton the trainer. Probably one M. Gillies in the saddle. That combo won a lot of jumps races in the mid-late 1970s.
