  1. WHICH GOES TO SHOW HOW DERANGED YOU ARE...HOW AND WHY WOULD THE FARMERS 'PICK YOU' IF YOUR SILLY ORANGE WILLY WAS BELOW GROUND??. YOU'DA BEEN BETTER OFF DISGUISING YOURSELF AS A CABBAGE (AND ACTING NATURALLY).
  2. nultiply that by two otr three if Thomass sees said winner with blinkers on first time and posts the tip before the race? Can you imagine the mess down HIS y-fronts?
  3. I've posted this in the Breeding section but thought it of interest to all... The NZ mare Philippa Glass has had three of her progeny win (2 in Oz, one in NZ) in the last week. I'll'ava'alf today at the 'Bool and on Saturday I'll'av Bubbles (Riccarton) and Vintage Stock (on debut at Belmont), WA Remarkable achievement Well done to Kiwi connections
  4. Only Thomass would enjoy something like that
  5. Agree. Higgins is the exception to the rule and has been punished appropriately. I dont condone cruelty to animals in any way (wwould be quite happy if whips were banned in racing) but the number of occurrences of this kind are rare ...and pounced on.
  6. MY BOD today (and unlike Thomarssse it is not a female Trackside presenter he is pervin' about ...again) Woodville R8 Veracious esach way $9.50 and $3.10 likes this track and could easily atone for last start 8th 3kg claim from in-form apprentice
  7. the fairytale week for Philippa Glass continues with I'll'ava'alf winning at Warrnambool today third winner from this NZ mare this week
  8. that is why you are the Captain My Captain and I am a mere Weasel
  9. lots oif other placed form in there Hesi...I'm reluctant to have a crack at only $2.20 FO
  10. Bollocks! How many renditions have there been of the GN?? Nearly 150 ....proven over time, huge part of the tradition of NZ thoroughbred racing, and many horses and horsemen/women LOVE IT.
  11. Thanks Chief ..much better site than the competitor for all the reasons outlined by Hesi
  12. i thought the run was game and honest ...very wide into the straight didnt help but the winner won too well for excuses. 3rd woulda been nice though! I'l lkeep an eye out for him cheers
  13. Last weekend former Kiwi galloper I'll'ava'alf (Lucky Unicorn-Philippa Glass) ran a long last in the Crisp Steeplechase at Sandown. Today two of his siblings won - one at Riccarton, the other at Belmont, WA I'll'av Bubbles a 7yo mare (by Sir Percy-Philippa Glass); Vintage Stock a 3yo filly (by Tavistock-Philippa Glass) broke maidens on debut
  14. Hey Shad Its raining now at Riccarton!
  15. Jacinderella is just as hypocritical as the rest of them in Gumment ...stands there holding baby during an interview 'as a mother' ..wants privacy for her child - but comments on the Canadian 'non-speakers' issue ...clearly making statement as PM ... so she's using her baby as a political tool. Cant have it both ways girl...keep the kiddie away from the cameras
  16. better hopethere some rain there Wed!
  17. Riccarton tomorrow! R82 2000m 57.5kg minus 2kg claim.. should be competitive
  18. 2yos racing after 31 July ..cos they're a year older and wiser by then ??
  19. Shad Yiu are correct re Shantav Invercargill winner in eb 6yo at the time..so I will have to correct my records! 22 wins from 5yos and 13 wins by 6yos in season just completed (I had Shantav down as a 5yo and he won twice in the season!) Cheers
  20. Tiddles! (I fling her!!)
  21. I venture to suggest you are more likely to be playing with your own mind than anyone else's. Now excuse while I go look up the form line of a Hayes horse called Vegas Magic...wonder if it's at all related to their classy sprinter and Everest hope Vega Magic. Tell me TomTom.. will Vega Magic win the Everest if the Blinkers are "back on in the Everst", as you suggest? And if/when he does, will it be the Blinkers that made him go "fastest to the winning post"? Sigh.
  22. "just saying" ? Just saying what, TomTom? 1 You appear to know nothing of the exact circumstances of the inspection at the start. You don't know who was inspecting TS, what the vet saw/didn't see...why he/she passed the horse fit to run. But because the horse was pulled up early in the race by his concernd jockey, you assume or imply it's probably an incompetent female vet's fault. 2 You are speculating, generalising and (typically) posting ignorant nonsense - probably just to see if (and how much) you can aggravate BOAY members. 3 Suggesting for you: think before you post. Just saying.
  23. Can't see him starting in the toughest race, longest journey four days after revealing lameness in the pastern, can you?
  24. Allen and Co appear to be heavily reliant on new income they expect to grab once their new betting platform is rolled out (at a cost of $38m) with OpenBet and PaddPowerBetfair. If for any reason that uptake doesn't occur on the scale they want it to it will no doubt be someone else's problem to fix cos John will be long gone by then.
  25. I happened to hear on Trackside before the race that the connections had advised the stewards of the scratchiness' problem, etc. Good on them for being open about it. Tough decision, really, to 'race or not to race' when you cant see anything wrong. Bad luck for the connections, but at east they still have their horse (unlike last week at Rotorua) and punters were informed before the race.
