Looks like the TB (BCG) vaccination protects nations from the worst effects.

NZ doesn't need to compare itself to Italy, France, Spain,  UK, USA etc as those scenarios are not going to happen here. Japan, Hong Kong, China etc seem to be our benchmark.

This Corona19 virus, is a very catchy virus but not a superbug, quite the opposite.

It hates heat and apparently dies when in temperatures over 26 degrees Celsius!

Not sure why everyone that is susceptible isn’t put into large purpose built saunas to kill it.

Bleach and other cleaning products also kills it easily on surfaces as well!

We have had one death unfortunately and apparently there were underlaying causes.

We have 10 in hospital throughout NZ in stable condition and 1 in ICU!!!
Of those that have tested positive to the virus, how many have symptoms worse than the common cold that they are likely to get in Winter every year?

We are in lockdown with everyone’s life suffering and  many in turmoil for something that should never had happened if the WHO had acted by ensuring that CHEYNA shut down their border.

NZ must have a very weak strain of this virus as it doesn’t seem to be having the same detrimental effect on our health here, or are NZ people a lot harder????

Will we have an election this year is a question?

If we do hopefully this mish mash of so-called politicians in power need to be voted out for the good of our economic recovery!!

Ahh, that’s better for a Sunday morning in home detention!!

Disagree.  In the space of 4 months it has infected over 1 million people.  No slug!

The science is inconclusive at this stage.  I assume you mean ambient temperatures.  Most of the world lives in average temperatures well under this.  Also NZ is in autumn i.e. the "flu season."

Totally impractical.  When was the last time you cleaned every light/power switch, every chair arm, all the taps, door handles, TV remotes, mobile phone with BLEACH!

Luckily it hasn't infected our vulnerable populations as yet.

Wouldn't have mattered as it was already in Europe BEFORE China knew about it.

The cities and regions that have been impacted the most - Wuhan, Northern Italy, Spain and New York all have one thing in common - severe air pollution.  Northern Italy has the highest air pollution in Europe.  Subsequently it could be assumed that many many people were respiratory impaired and therefore particularly vulnerable to this virus.  Death is caused primarily by the failure of the lungs.  So yes our population is less vulnerable than those currently affected.  If you have smoking induced lung impairment I wouldn't venture too far.

As I say yes it is an easily caught virus but it is not a bug that can not be killed!

Think you will find that it is proven that the virus will be killed if it has heat applied to it.

There have been tests that have killed the virus in test tubes but as per normal it takes donks to get it approved as they have to do tests on humans to make sure of the side effects, whereby hundreds of thousands of older people die!!

The fact that bleach will kill the virus is just saying that it is a virus that is not a superbug, I.e. a virus that can’t be killed.

Chief, yes we are very lucky that we have not been severely affected health wise so far, and hopefully it stays that way.

We have been affected a helluva lot though financially and mentally and this is going to have a worse affect on NZ than the virus itself!!!

The fact is that China was well aware in December last year that it was a virus that was being transferred from human to Human and yet they did not advise the World until it had been transferred to all corners of the world by the Chinese people.

Yes it does seem to badly affect the people who have somewhat impaired lungs capacity and respiratory disorders.

Just hope that we continue to get on top of it before our economy is killed forever!!

You said the virus isnt a super bug are you on something

Brodie will you.line up with those people who have the virus yes or no

It is Not a SUPERBUG!

Far from it!

Easily caught is not a superbug.

A common cold is easily caught as well but doesn’t affect the respiratory system the same.

So dose that mean you are willing to line up and get it yes ir no

What a stupid thing to say!

Why would I be allowed to line up to get Corona19 virus deliberately?

I am sure Jacinda would love this sort of thing to be going on when everyone is meant to be in isolation!!!!!
