Starting Pool $37,006 from customers & $5000 Betcha Bonus Cash Payout 45,338 They didn't say if A Brodie was among the benefactors!
-
Starting Pool a record high $21,855.Lost early, then $10k collect from Dogs Multi took them past $28k and finally paying out $26k. Bet on final 2 races at New Plymouth Gallops.Justin Evans put them into 2 losers. Bet few at Cambridge Trots on Aaron White's recommendations,he nabbed one winner, final race poetically Amateurs. They actually made profit on 3 x late bets on Black Caps Cricket (runs per over). Brodie, you missed out on another enthralling Thursday Trackside Trip into PROFITLAND.😄

For anyone who didn't watch any coverage of Out The Gate tonight (perhaps they had contributed funds previous weeks and lost!): Starting Balance $15,761 Closing Balance $52,644 To coin their phrase = PROFIT LAND 🤑

I met Gary on many occasions at Alex Park/Ellerslie Racetracks when he retired to Auckland.Yes,he was a Mainlander,& played first class cricket for Otago I think! Believe he spent time working overseas, then returned to NZ & an early McDonalds Franchisee. A keen sportsman, tabletennis in his youth & basketball administration in later years, combined with dual racing code interests. Hesi has noted three of his glamour part-ownership horses, another was Changeover.

Are you with One (ex Vodafone). I suggest Call Roaming (daily charge) would solve your problem. USA $9 & Bali $7. Naturally Brodie would recoup weeks worth of charges with single Place Bet.

I had no problems getting TAB Website & Betting earlier this year when on Warriors Trip to Las Vegas,& holiday in Bali.

Ministerial Advisory Committee Report presented to Peters, then Cabinet this week, outlines a figure of $60million across 3 years from 1 August 2026. Did not specify a set figure for TAB to contribute. -

Whilst Dapto Lease ends 30 June 2026 The Greyhound Club have decided to Go Out With A Bang. Their Last Meeting will be The Group 1 Ladbrokes Megastar on Sept 11 this year.So Galah, you need to book those flights quick smart. I had pleasure of attending their famous Puppy Auction with contingent of Kiwi Buyers 15 odd years ago.

TAB Driver's Challenge Odds: I looked few minutes before Race 1 & Blair Orange was paying $1.01 R1 2nd : R2 1st: R3 1st = 8 points & still paying $1.01 Going into Final Race Blair Orange Leading 11 points from Zac Butcher 8 points. A small 5 horse field saw Blair finish last on Mr Kaplan & Zac 1st on Jeremiah ** so points end tied at 11-11. So Orange backers get payout of $0.50c per $1 I presume.(never noticed what Zac was paying at any stage)😃

Brodie,I can only refer to my own holidays in Las Vegas & Bali. Call roaming allowed me full access to my TAB Account,Viewing Trackside,& Betting.

Just returned from 3 weeks in Las Vegas supporting my 'Woeful Warriors' Accessing a VPN is too technical for me. However, simple to access Call Roaming with Vodafone/ONE for $9 per day. With this, accessing NZTAB perfect, and made money to help subsidise my trip. Plus with Sky To Go,could watch all Black Cap Champion Trophy matches.

After a stellar career over 30plus seasons,Karen Walsh has called time on her training career. Her last remaining greyhounds went out the gate of her Tirau Kennels last week, ending a highly successful association she had with owner Gary Harding and racing under The Thrilling Banner. This property & operation was one of NZ's most Premier, and it's closure a sign of what lies ahead for all fellow owners and trainers.

Me thinks Denis Schofield would disagree with you on that! -
You always had a good affinity with a stayer.

Newmarket/The Gala x Going off "half cocked" BGP DID NOT lose everything $150k before receiving 100% payout. Final Bet on Race 9 Spent full remaining funds $50,064 leaving Zero Balance. This R9 Bet was Power Play* Both 2 Don't Stop Dreaming & 1 Kango TOP4 at $2.80 Potential Return $140,179.20 This was Winning Bet. I am not sure what the BGP starting pool was,but the $Topup by TAB was a few thousand only! -
Ranga,I'm told Mangos chucked Licenses in before they were stripped off him. More sad for the innocent victims of his offending.
-
I was viewing throughout on BGP Facebook Live Stream, and the Race 6 Bet Orchestral T4 & Talisker T6 was given approx 10-15min before jump. Nothing about Win Only x Orchestral
-
That bet was Orchestral TOP.4 & Talisker TOP.6 So LOSING BET

This Jim Smith also had another page in the rich tapestry of racing highlights: He part owned (with 3 others) the high class thoroughbred Surfers Paradise, trained by Dave O'Sullivan to win the 1990 NZ Derby & 1991 Cox Plate. -

Yes,PERIGO did have a somewhat unusual racing history. Raced by his breeders from 4yo until 11yo days and recording 10 Wins. Then *Claimed by Kevin Smith.First start unplaced, but **Re-Claimed by original owners Dawson Brothers & returned to Peter Young Stable. Raced for two more seasons for them & recorded 3 more wins. As a 13yo in 2011 Season ***Claimed for second time by Kevin Smith & Tim Vince and quickly reeled off 4 more wins. As a 14yo won for Smith / Vince at Cambridge & Alex Park. Retired after one unplaced run as 15yo amassing 19 wins in total. Kevin Smith was both Trainer & Racing Manager for Auckland Trotting Club during this period, before he moved into role as HRNZ Chief Handicapper. -

Walt..You have 'your Jim Smith wires crossed'. The Jim Smith you refer to was The Racing Broadcaster, with Radio Pacific prior to his career with Trackside. The Jim Smith Gammalite refers to was long time Harness Trainer from Takanini, who bred & raced Mountain Gold for 10 wins. Then sold to a Syndicate & trained by Barry Purdon.First two starts for new connections, won both City Of Sails Group 2 & Rowe Cup Group 1.
