Evans is on salary of approx $70,000 to call an unlimited numbers of meetings within reason from South Canterbury to Otago. By letting Davey go they cut the wage bill from $200,000 to $70,000 plus lets say an extra $20,000 in incidental costs (motel rooms and travel/food subsidies).
