  1. We’re upping your game so we are now only 3 steps behind our competition.
  2. Hopefully it comes through to you before the third race at Tampa Bay Downs tomorrow morning.
  3. For me it was very slow to load then I got an error message. Positive start...
  4. I’ve already missed all my bets at Gulfstream Park and Portland Downs, hopefully it is working in time for me to get on the meetings from Kawasaki and Korea.
  5. Yet they are unable to get one if there social media managers to post this to let punters know.
  6. It’s really just bringing them into line with there competition. While it will be an improvement it’s hard to see it being a game changer.
  7. Are you suggesting the RIU should superceed the police investigation and court proceedings with there own proceedings?
  8. Very high.
  9. How much of that do you put down to the fact there are so many of these options per meeting now? My thoughts without any reasearch into it would be that with 2 quaddies 3 trebles 4 or 5 doubles and a place 6 per meeting all that it happening is that the pools are being diluted.
  10. I’m not sure but it could be a possible explanation.
  11. Could it be that by showing the us racing they can open there outlets earlier meaning the pokies are operating for longer hours?
  12. It’s a members bill so it needs to be drawn from the ballot, assuming it is drawn from the ballot National would support it which would could put us in the position of Winston and NZ First deciding if labour and the greens opposed it. Given Winston’s previous comments on the situation and where a fair proportion of his votes come from its hard to see him opposing it.
  13. I think you are both right in part, there is a lack of young people coming through but when one does come through they realise fairly quickly they are not going to change anything for various reasons so they give up and walk away.
  14. Trentham did the same things to me about four years ago, there were about 4 or 5 families heading in with two races to go and they insisted on charging the full gate entry. The others all turned around and walked off, we paid the entry fee but haven’t been back since. I much prefer Hawera Otaki and New Plymouth.
  15. Give it a rest eh, someone is taking the time to share there knowledge and thoughts with others. I for one find Barry’s posts interesting and informative, however I’m not sure I’d say the same about yours.
  16. Tough one really, I guess they can only act when it’s offically scratched or withdrawn.
  17. He’s W R Peters not W W Peters.
  18. You can do it offshore, wouldn’t it be essentially offering the option rather than putting the bet into the tote pool if that makes sense.
  19. Sorry I haven’t made my point very clearly, yes I do expect holiday homes would be liable to a cgt as they are already subject to the bright line test at this point in time.
  20. She was espousing a capital gains tax on residential rental properties rather than across the board. I struggle to see how if someone is not engaged in a taxable activity a capital gains tax would apply.
  21. Presumably there would be a private exemption in the horse example you are talking about as you are not carrying on a business or taxable activity?
  22. Thanks for that, that’s very useful.
  23. I tend to buy one if I’m heading to the races but otherwise I’m in the same boat.
  24. That’s still quite a lengthy and timely process compared to there competition but better than nothing I guess.
  25. What happened to those French trotting races that trackside use to show late at night? Those were great with horses getting disqualified left right and centre.
