  1. Foxton is in no fit state to race , would require a bit to get it up to raceday standard . Just look at the trials , 6/7 horse fields and at most trials they are heading for the middle to outside fence , imagine with 14 horse fields , another Wanganui .
  2. That's 30k they are throwing in the pot , will spending that extra money lose the industry money or will the extra betting bring a profit for the industry ? .
  3. Highly unusual , they must be listening to Doomed , that man carries some weight .
  4. It's only odd if the organisation making the decision are known for making normal decisions .
  5. Possibly more to do with wanting to chase the 30k stake , although there may be enough for 3 races they are only going to split into 2 races with the second a consolation , perhaps they think it is a sure fire way to force the horses that miss out to race on the A/W next week .
  6. I have also noticed that Cambridge have a meeting scheduled for 3 of the next 4 weeks , one is the big stakes meeting , along with 2 trial meetings , so that should give a better over view of whether this is a small blip or a bigger issue . Although even if it is a small blip it's not like the tracks are smashing it .
  7. You've got a one track mind , and it isn't even of the normal variety .
  8. I would love to see a financial breakdown for the races run on the A/W's , from what i can see on the TV and i know it's not the whole story the numbers appear slightly lower than a normal grass track meeting , certainly not the panacea they were trumpeted as .
  9. If they can and you can hear them , see a doctor , oh and start taking your meds again .
  10. The Cambridge trials programmed for tomorrow have been cancelled due to insufficient entries , that itself is worrying . Between last weeks meetings at Cambridge and Riccarton where 7 and 6 races respectively were run , and the Cambridge meeting on Wednesday where there are again 7 races are programmed , where each race averaged slightly over 10 runners per race . Cambridge can run a maximum of 12 runners per race and Riccarton 14 , yet aside from not being able to fill fields they can't even put on 8 races . So canned trials , short programmes and light numbers , is the shiny new toy starting to lose it's lustre ?
  11. I think K Rae will be paying costs , trusts TM . Don't blame him , some of the riders up north make TM look like Piggott .
  12. I will if you will . You bloody well know i want to , one big stumbling block , the one holding my leash . Oh , and the #moneymoneymoney .
  13. So everything tracking " tickety boo " then . The future is bright .
  14. Very hard fro Messara to say any of that when he was working from a script , he got paid no matter what he suggested .
  15. I wasn't really taking much notice but didn't Allpress go early , didn't help but she was awake .
  16. NZTR have clearly stated that they are staying out of it and that it is an issue for GV and Race to resolve . So i would assume they have to remain independent when it came to the issue of nominating and racing horses at Race meetings and make it clear to Race that they would be allowing GV's horses to race at Race meetings if GV wished to do so .
  17. Yeah agree completely , otherwise what's their role , as usual TA on the other site always seems to grab the wrong end of the buzz saw .
  18. Makes a change . But you could have kept it to yourself .
  19. Peter , i ask this without prejudice , is there information behind this story that isn't being brought to light from either side . This seems harsh without due cause , but one thing i have learnt in 40+ years in racing is that racing administrators are a law unto themselves when they wish .
  20. Are you my wife ? because you sound like her and she always have to have the last word , just AAAAASKING .
  21. Unfortunately not enough courses for the horses left in their in boxes , just saaaaaying .
  22. Then that definitely makes the 15mil investment well worth it , just saaaaying .
  23. What about all the horses sitting in boxes because they don't like the A/W or owners don't want to risk them on it , a lot more unhappy owners than 6 happy race winners , just saaaaying .
  24. And only one of those 6 has a full field , 3 of them less than 10 runners , good value for 15mil tho . There was never going to be the numbers down that way for A/W racing . But it will soon be a pristine training track without all the hassle of that darn racing stuffing it up .
  25. Tell me the last government that didn't do this , don't tell me one is any better than the other .
