FFS.......the evacuation warnings went out days ago, they were warned, others listened, when livestock is involved and in this case hundreds of thousands of dollars,....NO....millions, would you not think to be pro-active, not re-active......all those foals on the ground>......? Hello......alarm bells.......Chief I think you argue just for the sake of it.....I really do.

Here's a simple question, we didn't have these problems back in the 60's and 70"s........I remember riding in pouring rain, on a bottomless track and had 3 pairs of goggles, on....we called them goggles then, the only bloke who didn't have googles was MRC and he told us why, he waa going to the front and staying there....he did..........why is all this crap going on now? what happened tween then and now?.....something that baffles me.......

Have a look at racing.com the photos say it all.........those poor horses, someones head should roll for this......

Sadly Yulong are now up 'shit creek' so to speak, or more precise, shit lake...........why they waited so long is mind-blowing, FFS, I hope they get them all to high ground in time, poor old Melody Belle, she'll be craving for those green, lush and safe paddocks of the Waikato......first snakes, and now floods........ An unfolding emergency has hit breeding giants Yulong Stud in Victoria, with rapidly rising flood waters threatening a huge amount of horses on their property. Yulong are urgently seeking floats, boats and any other flotation devices at their Mangalore property in central Victoria to assist with moving horses to safe ground. The area has been dealing with significant rainfall throughout the week, with more than 100mm falling in the Seymour area in the past 24 hours alone. Evacuation sirens rang out across the towns of Rochester, Seymour and Carisbrook on Thursday night, with thousands of homes expected to be affected. Yulong has been one of the biggest bloodstock buyers in Australia over the past years, recently spending more than $27m at this year's Magic Millions Broodmare sale on almost 60 horses including star mares Away Game and Tofane. Champion stallion Written Tycoon also calls the farm home. NSW Display more

Don't tell me there is another creative accountant loose out there, maybe he raced 90 also?
-
There's a float heading down, I know the driver, I'll let him know NM, as long as Rodders doesn't leave his teeth on the dashboard things should work out fine...........................
-
Close enough Huey, close enough.......only 3 hours away, foods cheaper, good hotels, money well spent I say........well, other peoples money.

You can ask all the questions you like, they wont answer them, some they can't as it's beyond them, some they'll deflect and some they will downright ignore, when you have zero transparency, zero good governance and SFA integrity, that's what you do.......sadly.

The way things are going Caulfield may well be held Monday, the forecast for Victoria is terrible, best we have a long weekend and punt like crazies come Mon.
-
Could they have run it at Foxton?
-
I think you got it with your poignant question NM.......They are taking the piss, they are gold medalists at that.
-
He's at the creative accountants convention after his lessons at the ''book cooking'' course.......at the Taj Mahal, Petone style.
-
Billy, isn't that the right fit for taking up residence south of the Bombay's?

There are dozens of Japes here too Huey, I know quite a few personally having lived and run a business in ZA.......they are quite open with their advice as to how they got to AUS. Go to NZ first, tough it out and get your residency and/or Nationality.....then off to the first choice......Oztrailia, always was, but they used to be really tough on the Safers entrance criteria here, still are with the poor bloody farmers who's wives and daughters are being raped and shot dead on the Velt. Believe me, that's happening, and it's getting worse, seems if you can sit on a racehorse at speed, and reckon you can negotiate your way around an oval, you're a shoe-in...so to speak.......FFS.

Well without doubt this is Brians finest work. If I had to be critical at all, I'd say Brian was a tad too kind......

Well knock me down with a feather, apparently NZTR [and many contributors on the other site] are thrilled by the announcement leading South African jockeys are fleeing the Rainbow Nation for NZ and the wonderful opportunities NZ provides. Hello, Hello, calling all you saddle sitters from Joburg to the Cape, oh and Durbs, did you not do your homework boys? They believed the propaganda expelled by a few Northern types, did they not bother to do some research? They better have some good medical insurance, and not venture out at night in the Dorkland suburbs, very dangerous practice that, almost as dangerous as riding the Cambridge AWT....... A huge boost to the riding ranks they said, NZTR that is, oh, and last time I looked, there was 10 rand to the Kiwi $........have you guys had a bo peep at the house prices around where you might be staying? Maybe the new ''Academy'' will have luxurious accommodations? Wow, who needs Hong Kong, Singapore, Oz etc when you can have that bastion of excellence, NZ Racing???? Who's going to tell them about the recently released turnover figures? the creative accounting and even better story telling that puts Hans Christian Anderson to shame, the NZ TAB having to rely on the Socialist Government to bail them out while kids are eating food from dumpsters......the Saffies will be used to that though, there is a breakout of financial refugee camps in ZA, inhabited by White South Africans, unheard of a few years back, but prolific now, so NZ might appear to be the Holy Grail.......... Will the RIB show leniency to the new arrivals as they learn the ropes? If I might add a suggestion, I think an extra ambulance might be in order, there is no Turffontein , or Greyville's in NZ, nowhere to hide boys, those AWT are awaiting, and when Awapuni opens, dodgem derbies will be served up en-masse........there is no doubting the bravery of these Japie jocks, most are Okes, lekker guys, I just doubt they have done their homework, more like a 'working holiday with danger'.........Tina C down at Riccarton can give as good as she gets, but she's a cheat, she is really a 'Gaucho' in drag......been riding the Pampas since she was a Nina.......maybe Tina should be flown up to Blowfly Park where they are ensconced, as the riding master, that'll work. I wish the newbies good luck, young Weatherly will back soon enough and free to give lessons on civility, humanity and how to ride for a relative when you're under pressure......should need be. NZ Racing, the place to be, or not, depending on your level of desperateness.

Their website should be a goer shortly, mass exodus of Kiwi punters from NZ TAB to follow?

My mate is a part owner of a real exciting young fella, he's Rock N Roll Doo's half bro by Art Major.........he won with a leg in the air at Albion Park a few weeks ago, Borella, put him in your black book, he's a star in the making, out in the paddock now, aiming for the majors later in the summer......trainer, none other than one A Butt. My mate also is in It's Me, he's got the Midas touch, some people are just plain blessed.

A new player enters the game over here this week, Betr, they will shake the shite out of the 'others', huge backing, and if their first promotion is a sign of things to come then, bring it on.......they will bet you 101-1 about any runner in the MEL Cup right up to Derby Day!!!........to lose $1000.......so a 10 buck wager.........I'm in for that, spend 300 get 30 picks and still pocket a lazy 700.........what will TAB NZ offer......
-
When Nomates surfaces, after sobering up after a long drive home from the winners circle, he'll help out, no one knows Welly like NM......I would recommend the Black Cat in Mt Vic, but last time I was there the place was full of smoke, Rothmans, Marlboro's that sort, and no-one drank beer, red win and whiskey straight was the go so I'm disqualified.
-
At least Nomates is happy, good onya son, don't spend ya winnings in one go.......#youownagoodone

Absolutely, times can be ever so deceiving, we've got tracks here 1000km from anywhere and old timers sacked from big city stables are running 1-9......and 1-21.......for 6 and 7 furlongs..........Trentham is a dog leg same as Riccarton and times are unreal...............in summer of course. Around the circle it's a tad different, days of running 1-33 for the mile are long gone, as is the calibre of horse required to run such......IMO
-
Oh we agree on that, there are half a doz attrition trainers over here doing very well, whoever said you can't make money off training fees is a fool, or under a rock........I was charging 45 bucks a day at Flemington back in 88, you know there are some poor buggers charging not much more now? They shouldn't of course, and how on earth do they survive? whilst there are trainers up north charging 100+ and couldn't teach a nun to pray.....IMO of course, but hey, that's how it goes.....

Ooh, I don't know, I think strategy is a major component,........you might need to rethink that. Maybe not the southern man.
