  1. On the alternate site I see there is a gold medalist in fuckwuitism, Tasman Lad, if ever there was proof lunatics and cockroaches can survive nuclear fallout ....he's it. And to think the Devils pooch gives him oxygen, FFS.......
  2. They may well have done that....in private of course, That MO was always on the cards, you trade whilst insolvent you lose your cred, they lost theirs many moons ago, we need a forensic investigation of that charade, should that happen we'll be faced by a house of cards.
  3. What other business would get away with this? Anywhere?.........it's not a business it's a charity, .....for those that need it most!....the over salaried, underachieving, non-caring cohort that run our industry, well run it into the ground that is......WAFJ.
  4. I bet they just brush that one away at NZTR Huey, there is a culture problem there, mediocrity is rewarded, it starts at the top.
  5. Have a mate that bought a Justify at the sales, when I tuned in to read the results from the trials this morning [Ruakaka] I saw a Justify had won, I called the mate to give him the good news.....he was ecstatic, unfortunately I had to call him back to say another cock up, balls up, call it what you like, but the knob heads at trackside and NZTR got it wrong, and sadly mate your horse went like a busted arse, well this Justify did.......how can they get something so simple, so wrong........no one is accountable of course...oh just a simple mistake?....FFS.
  6. It's all very sad in reality. Having sad that, the sadness is relentless, sadly.
  7. The ammenities at 'Money Valley' are second to none, so on a shitty Melbourne winters day, the 'crowds' would have been inside warming themselves, and watching the horses parade in the back ring........the public transport to the Valley is second to none, Trains, Trams and Buses, ........just brilliant.
  8. The've been on the blower to South Australia, some comparison that, like minds......look at the once mighty Oakbank Carnival, gone from iconic to ironic, it's so demoralising to see the crowds disintegrate. They used to travel up from Adelaide in the tens of thousands, all those great Kiwi Jumpers against the best Aussies, and now, nada, zilch, zero, and the place is a ghost town while the dolts at Morphetville HQ pick up gazillionaire salaries, just like Petone......the combined IQ's wouldn't reach double digits.....
  9. I think you should apologise actually.........they are far worse than morons, you're way too kind.
  10. Ahhh, now that's a question?.......a certain trainer thought it to be the ants pants, and just the dooziest of training surfaces, same fella is not training the amount of winners he probably thought he might......funny that, the attrition rate might be through the roof too.......like it was up at Toowoomba, and Geelong, where the attrition rate was diabolical, so they threw the fucking things to the shithouse........
  11. That's a vastly different MO to VIC, they were built exactly for that reason........ a viable alternative to the abandoned meet......it happens all the time in VIC, going back to when Geelong was constructed, Ballarat cops so many abandoned meets, and Pakenham will cop their share......what it is doing though is as you suggested earlier, it's building a pool of horses and connections that love the AWT.......
  12. The AW at Sunshine Coast is used for transferred/defaulted meetings, it's been busier than a one armed barman, if they scheduled a meet there it would be a disaster....oh that's right, they tried that, and guess what, it was....a fucking disaster that is........the vast majority of trainers here wont have a bar of it, those that do are trainers that through desperation ran theirs, and found to their amazement and owners joy....oh joy, he/she handled it and won/placed....beating the other 2-3 horses that bothered to turn up........go figure?....FFS......
  13. I think Didham is following the party line, be kind, Nomates is correct in his/her observations, the times were some 12-15 lengths behind both Cambridge and Riccarton, so either the jocks were shitting their pants and holding on for grim death, or, they realise you can't let them run at optimum speed around a corner like that.......having ridden on the old Bulls course and plenty of fast work at Canterbury SYD cinders training track back in the day I know full well what happens if you let them run up quick around tracks like these.....it's tempting fate, so unless your'e an owner with bloody deep pockets [cos the silent compliant trainer wont be paying] get ready for some really shocking vet bills......there, it's said.
  14. He's probably hiding under a rock somewhere.
  15. Hope the catering is sufficient to placate the multitudes coming up from Petone for the event? I wonder if Saundry will make a guest appearance to 'cut the ribbon'.
  16. I didn't live in NZ during the Rob Muldoon years, therefore I shall abstain from commenting.........The All Blacks played some great rugby back then didn't they?....#bringbackbuck
  17. Ludwig, the only post that bloke should be holding is the one he should be tied to while the hoi poloi flog him with a cat o nine tails !!!
  18. Racing related, lets never forget Nathan Guy, promise me, please, never ever forget Nathan, a walking, living breathing tragedy.......for racing....
  19. I have my own experience with DHB, I saw it under the last dying convulsions of Key and his mates, what a fucking shambles, I'm also no apologist for Ardern and her mob, but credit where its due.......Key ran a Gov for the big end of town, that works in some climes, you pull that stunt in a place like NZ you get divided society, very!!!! My MIL who was 93 at the time was sitting outside Push and Shove one morning and said to me, I've never seen so many kids in bare feet, so many people with cheap rubbish in their shopping trolleys, and so many sad and gloomy faces.......that was 7 years ago, it also might explain why 800K Kiwis left NZ for sunny Oz.....you tell me?
  20. Good onya Nod, bloody brilliant, classic.........
  21. George Hanlon used to kick the jocks in the shins as they bent down to undo the surcingle, could you blame him?
  22. Give that man a medal
  23. I have no idea how to fix NZ, racing, and otherwise, what I do know is if you walk away, it's well and truly rooted. After years of disinterest from Gov and the useless series of racing ministers, and then the procession of useless Aussies and Poms hired by even more useless Kiwi's that couldn't believe their luck falling into huge salaried management positions racing is in the abyss it is. Absolutely the fault is with hierarchy, no risk on that, we need to be forever grateful for people like you Reefton, people that never gave up, people that fight on to this day, people who love racing for what it is, the grandest sport of them all. Most don't have a platform, everyday they must dread reading the propaganda that's emitted from Jackson St, and cringe, or, didn't read at all, just go about their business and occasionally dropping by on race day to watch a few, have a wee punt, and reminisce about the good old days, gone, but not forgotten......sadly. Thanks again Brian, your bloods worth bottling mate, go well.
  24. Thank you Freda, the Chief should do the right thing and listen to the interview, I have, it stinks to high heaven, Ellis is a ''Tokyo Rose'' if you don't know who that is Chief, do yourself a favour and google.......Ellis should not be congratulating NZTR for their handling of this matter, he's so out of touch it's appalling, Ellis is wrong, very wrong, he should have known the facts about all the racing related deaths, how bloody stupid of him to say ''I believe there hasn't been a death in over 100 years'' for Gods sake man that's showing disrespect for all those poor souls that have lost their life and it appears Ellis has conveniently forgotten about them..... No one is disrespecting Taiki, I worked in Japan, I went to the races there, a Japanese jockey rides for me regularly here, in fact I've had 3 of them ride for me, I know a damn sight more than you do about Japan, and Taiki had to go to NZ to get his opportunity, and that cost the poor little fella his life, God bless him, so don't go lecturing me, you bloody goose.
  25. Dear Brian, I'm afraid you've missed the Elephant in the room completely. The standard of riders in NZ will deter the canny and select HK punters from wagering. It is no secret that most can't sit in a tram, or in a bus, and the Auckland Racing Club putting all their faith in the ''new track'' is delusional......Aussies aren't the least bit interested in NZ racing, by selling the deck chairs on the Titanic would not have saved the ship, those living in denial will always live in denial, the only hope, the only hope is the slowly approaching 800 thousand ex pat Kiwis that live in Australia open a TAB account, a NZ TAB account that will allow them to bet into NZ racing and that they bet their arses off to save the lives of the poor buggers that are trying to jump overboard........sorry, that's the way it is.
