Track - Riccarton Park-Canterbury JC | Saturday 14 November
Joe Bloggs replied to Chief Stipe's topic in Galloping Chat
Can't you just see the AWT form guides, doesn't like the kick back, bet with caution. Trainer doesn't like to travel, follow market moves, no AWT trial form Holey Moley, it's going to be a domestic minefield, however, punters around the world are salivating, Betfair and Sportsbet will have tp put on extra staff. -
I believe your litigation laws are vastly different to ours NM, however the only way to stop this behaviour and evolving culture is a civil court lawsuit, the owners of deceased horses, and or family of injured riders sue those in charge, of course culpability has to be proved, without cameras?.....makes it very hard doesn't it, but not impossible, where there's a will, there's a way.

Where's Saundry? Isn't this bringing racing into disrepute, why the hell is there no massive inquiry,....before the AWL or other idiots get loose and alert mainstream media. If Saundry is investigating or delegating behind the scenes, so be it, but at least let us know, he's not up to the job as are most in charge, it's most definitely an animal welfare issue now.

Well as I've said, our track races every Saturday, plus some midweeks, we've got a cutaway, so you have choices, the rail is as good as 6 off.......it's the skill of the curator, having great admin and management and telling loud mouth trainers or bullies with agendas to F off.........and backing yourselves.........make of that what you will. -

I'm not saying it's perfect Chief, our velvet track is so so and needs work, that begins this week, the sand is brilliant and the b grass needs work, we get the course proper most weeks, restricted of course, and there are lights going in so we can have night racing in a place that will support night racing and it will flourish. The problem being though, the socialist government has been promising this 30mil upgrade for years, they just bull shitted and lip serviced, the last election wasn't even close, the LIBS are pathetic except for a few local members who swim against the tide. We have a new racing minister too, the previous paper tiger has gone, and wowie up steps none other than Grace Grace, yep, Grace Grace......what, been to the races half a dozen times if she's lucky........just like that useless oxygen thief Nathan Cry......but I'm waffle;ing, in all reality even in it's worn condition our track is a beauty, they can come from back, the cutaway gives you a chance off the leaders heels, and the irrigation is well managed and so appreciated........if this track can take the racing it does and delivers like DHL......then it's human error in NZ, it must be, prove me wrong.....politely. -

Here's a suggestion, Mills or his curator to call GCTC, ask for advice. We race here every Sat, a very harsh climate, 32 yesterday, they ran 1-8 and change, maidens running 1-9........rail out 10......but every Sat this track produces, so, the curator is either a genius or applies great common sense, with agriculture skills. All it takes is a call, like they should have done to Toowoomba as to why they uprooted their AWT........why grown men don't ask for help is beyond me, thats what my psychiatrist says anyways..... -

Interesting stipes report, a few with lameness issues, boy, aren't they lucky the track wasn't presented as it was for that joke referred to above.......maybe attrition is rearing it's ugly head.....whoda thought. -
Could AWT's lead to more horse fatalities?

The bloke that thought you gallop them everyday has an idea, ask him what it is Huey, get him to share......I'd love to know, brilliant mind that it is. -
The bloke that thought you gallop them every day is happy, so racing is doing well.

Yes and yes, we never let their heads go until we straightened, you had to hold them together, but at Flemington even on the B grass you could run time 10m out as the bends were sweeping rather than turning...if you get my drift.......only saw 1 or 2 break down at Flemington in the 6 years I was there, and there were larger numbers back then with CSH and JBC training. -

In theory yes, and here's a conundrum .......I used to ride work at Canterbury, when it was a big training centre, that's Canterbury Sydney.......I'd never ridden on anything as tight, rode a Oaks winner work, Bonny Belle, and a Doomben Cup winner in Spasky.......they both trained on and were sound, that track is 1500 m around the training tracks were 1400 max....you were turning, and really turning from the 600..........the cinders tracks were unforgivable, Jack Denham won or was runner up to TJ Smith training from that track........but, I saw more breakdowns on that track than Rosehill or Randwick.....a lot more........the more you accentuate the angles the more chance that horse will do a tendon or suspensiory or worse......IMO. -

Used to gallop on the beach at Otaki, Holiday Wynn, and Four Leaf to name just two.........they both won in Oz, Four Leaf should have won the Melbourne Cup but poorly ridden by Midge Didham, sacked, next start and ridden by Wayne Trealor he wins what became the Sandown Cup......shoot me, I'm waffling......but that beach was just the best! -

The glaring anomaly here is,......the AWT at Newmarket is in a straight line!...as are the gallops, they work up to 50 horses in a single line, it's uphill too, as was the training tracks at Lindsay Park [CSH] 50 bloody years ago....you work and gallop horses around bends you gonna get injuries......DUH. -

I'm proud to say Lee was my neighbour for 6 years, I sought his council only once, he was then and is now gifted with perception and wiseness beyond his years, me being older can say that. I think he is such a wasted talent up there in SING, that talent in that environment, I know it changed from the SING I worked and lived in in the 70's/80's........aircon boxes etc, but lee seems to have settled into a very different lifestyle and is looking into the landscape here with open vision. Come home Lee, before it's too late. -
Keep a baseball bat handy Chief, its the red bellied blacks that worry me, not the toads so much.
-
Hoo Flung Dung and Wun Hung Lo computer geeks working for Xi chief, no doubts......
-
It'll be a nightmare scenario, a Toowoomba trainer told me he couldn't believe they didn't get feedback from the committee.....it'll go tits up, and the lunatics will sail off into the sunset......unbelievable. A training aid? for who exactly?

Still problems here last night, it's ongoing.

At least 7 mil lost to the industry yesterday, 100 mil + down the gurgler and still no TAB today, it must impact on NZ as well, you earn coin from commingling and it's kaput, strong rumour China Virus chief, not the BS TABCORP are spruiking re a power outage.......more to come.

Riccarton Track - 2000 Guineas 7 November 2020

Great performance from Terri, hasn't anywhere near the cattle that others have but gets wonderful results. Her horses look terrific in the yard and race accordingly, would have been a top liner in Oz. -
LOL, If you lost 9kg there imagine what you'd lose here, 38 forecast for Ippie tomorrow, we have track riders here riding 20 a morning beginning at 3-30am, at 20 bucks a ride, x 6days =$2400.......some settle for a wage, 60k a year, and in the surf by 8-30am.......great lifestyle eh? Yep, bring your boots, skully, and vest and leave the wife at home, you'll be overrun by nubile tanned young Aussies........even some Sheilas too!

Looking for a lightweight apprentice, [experienced] but not a know all, or a jockey looking for a sea change. Plenty of opportunities in the sun, PM me for details. Many young Kiwi's have relocated, great career opportunity here.

On Pakeha TV over here tonight there's a story about the Melbourne Cup, and a group of people that beed horses, namely the Sheik and Qatar's ruler Sheik no 2..........wife bashers, send Homosexuals to jail or in some cases execute them, did I say Misogynists, racists, human rights abusers.......I'm bullshitting of course, there's no tv show about them, because the elitists here kowtow to them, swept under the carpet, the hypocrisy and sychophanting is despicable, but of course we just can't do without these good old boys,,,,,,,can we?

Surely there wont be another handout, if Jacinda is truly a socialist, the money will go to community projects and the racing industry will have to survive best it can.
