    Kango??

Mate, I disagree with most of this, all though I hear what you are saying. Group One races are great and you can find value if you look. A few recent examples. ace mare Amazing Dream paid over $19 winning on the Gold Coast, twice. Laver paid $19 a place when third in jewels. Gerard O'Reilly's filly ran third in jewels and paid $7(?) a place when third in Jewels. There are many other examples too. Group One races offer real value if you open your mind and study closely.
  2. It might be OK if they ran a proper futures market for the races. I doubt our TAB bookies could manage it. But that would be ideal for those who go to trials, follow breeding etc. Then you could get on early at good odds for a two-year-old you expect to be better at the end of the season. I think with a decent futures market it would be possible to find real value. Cambridge probably better for a top 2 or 3 yo colt even mare if like Betteors Twister, Amazing Dream types, as sure of inside draw. I mean how could you beat the likes of Purdon's Azura who is likely to draw one? Race over. I doubt this will happen though mate...
  3. Rangiora as quick as Addington? Get real mate. No way. And the meeting was on the grass track that was dead. Every horse has a chance at addington if good enough. Not so at Rangiora with many horses not getting runs in the home straight.
  4. You seem as dumb as Rangatira Gamma. I know that Ms Rasmussen did not drive Shan Noble. My comment was a general observation that is all. Natalie had two winners on the night. Someone brighter like JJ understood what I meant. Have you been on the grog? After these two ridiculous comments from both you and Ranga I now understand where Karrots is coming from...
  5. I know that. Thanks for your illuminating input as usual.
  6. Plenty of money down south mate and they love harness.
  7. That Shan Noble is a smart horse. He should win plenty this season? Once again, the lovely Natalie Rasmussen shows the pretenders how to drive.
  8. I made plenty last year on Cup Day, hopefully a repeat performance this year!
  9. Enjoy your break mate and keep looking for value!
  10. Yes, the partnership M. Purdon/H. Cullen resumed on October 1. Natalie and Mark will resume full partnership early next year I think; Cullen returns to stable foreman.
  11. It will cost Addington heaps because I suspect that they make most of their money from the drunks and fashion show pony nobodies that attend the NZ Cup Day these days. On course turnover will be down. Off course turnover will increase I am sure.
  12. Copperhead Rose had zero chance of winning the Cup, why the story was ever written I don't know! I disagree with you mate. Plenty are interested in the NZ Trotting Cup this year. I am and I know others that are. Good on Karrots for being enthusiastic about the Cup. Yes, the country has many problems but the NZ Cup is important. I expect the country will still be in lockdown in November so it will be a different Cup Day than usual but I am looking forward to the meeting. On present form either Southcoast Ardern or last years winner Self Assured will win the 2021 Cup.
  13. Go Amazing Dream!!!
  14. I remember the horse was trained and driven by Ted Lowe. I think it won the Kaikoura Cup before winning the 1968 NZ Cup? It wasn't one of the greatest NZ Cup fields but he won and his name is on the Cup.
  15. Self Assured is a class above anything in the race but that doesn't mean he will win. He'll go close though! Sorry, Gamma don't know anything about Deny Everything but you can't fault its form. He has a good draw tonight but can he beat Darling Me?
  16. The Mainland should be at Level One as no community cases for over a year! That won't happen though as Auckland has a lot of votes for Ardern and it wouldn't go down well if the South dropped while they remained at Level 3.
  17. Yes, the horse is going well and seemed a certainty in that race given draw and class of horse he was facing. The dairy farming Geddes family usually have a good horse. I have made money of this horse lately but didn't back it tonight as too short. I guess $3.50 for a win is good money for a sure cert though!
  18. Best mare in Australasia... Maybe the world?
  19. https://www.harness.org.au/racing/fields/race-fields/?mc=KI240921 What a win by Amazing Dream in last night's Kilmore Cup. Great training by Nathan Purdon and a cool drive from A. Butt. The mare is so tough and never gives in; she is the best mare in Australasia. I hope she comes back for the NZ Cup... Amazing Dream you beauty.
  20. Yes, good fields. I had two "value" bets. I am confident with one, the other %85. Good luck punting everyone...
  21. Yes, very worrying. How long will it be before more North Island trainers, like the Tellers, decided to relocate to Canterbury? It has to happen. Cup hopeful South-east Arden is already in Canterbury, won at trials Wednesday with lovely Natalie aboard. Will Mango return to Canterbury full time?
  22. The most consistent thing is the lack of consistency.

    Hannon Day

Bit of team driving helps! Vintage Cheddar unlucky came home well when clear. Hard to come from four back the fence at Oamaru which is a frontrunners course. Laver stuck on well too.
  24. I thought the lovely Rachel Weisz was a Pom? Geez, you Aussies will claim anyone!!🤣🤣🤣

I'm looking at Vintage Cheddar I think he could be the best of the southerners. A Black places the horse well. Big chance.
