  1. Ranga, seriously why is there a need to bring in bloody levels that once again going to affect peoples livelihoods more than a mild virus. This so called deadly virus that most peoplewho test positive have no symptoms whatsoever is not going to go away, and she jjst wants to get up there and blah blah blah! This useless lot are great at destroying business but anything that is good for business, they have no idea about! Ardern and her useless associates still get paid regardless and yet she has the say on when business can operate! The Dickheads that voted for Labour need to wake up to the poor decision they made, based on Covid19 alone, as they have achieved nothing else except closing the country down! Bloody brilliant!
  2. Why? Not bloody deadly disease that has killed no one in NZ that was healthy? Enough is enough , this is just over the top once again! Time NZ woke up to the fact that we are dictated to by someone that has got no idea, but wants total control!
  3. Only because the Met got rid of the previous starter .
  4. It’s ok Jacinda thinks that climate change is more of an emergency than the fact that our population is generally grossly overweight.
  5. Never back gallopers as that is gambling. Form too hard to follow and not that interesting
  6. Loose class racing is where it is easier to make money Gammalite.
  7. Gamma, hate the Premier meetings for punting on! Give us a non winners race any day!
  8. Trotsfan, I wasnt going to start the debate, as some would think it was just AllStars bashing again! While Purdon is still around the stable I wouldnt be guaranteeing anything! Personally think it is a load of BS that was announced in regards to taking a break from the horses! There is more to it than just needing a break or he and training partner would not be around and Purdon wouldnt be needing to drive the horses! There is no doubt whatsoever that the early stages is clearly showing that the stable horses are no where near as dominating as they were, which is great news for harness racing going forward. What I would put my last million on would be that if Purdon/Rasmussen were not involved with the AllStars stable, the stable would not be dominating anywhere near where it was. If the same results were not happening the existing owners would vote with their feet! It was just great to see the money spread around on Premier night, even though the fields were awful for punting on!
  9. I do not believe that there are too many people coming thru the race course gates nowadays, that havent got a horse racing or are associated with harness stables, The punters have been turned off from going by the rules on wagering that the NZ TAB have adopted! What is the point of the bigger punters turning up when they have to identify themselves and are limited to how much they can wager??? The amounts in the tote pools have dwindled significantly and the Bookies restrictions are also affecting turnover. I wouldnt be believing of all the clap trap about betting increasing on harness coming out of the TAB!!!!

Ranga, not sure there are any profits are there? It has had huge cost overruns and incompetence by some along the way I believe. Has the Commercial Buildings been sold, do you know?

Just looked at the fields for Friday night! The fields are not worth punting into as there will be no value and all the divvies are going to be pathetic and fixed odds short! Another meeting that is going to be a loss for the club!

North Island harness is stuffed. Not sure how they can continue to pay the bigger stakes in Auckland, and the racing is boring as well.
  13. I hope not, wouldnt know what to do with the extra!
  14. Could be the horse Covid21 virus a d may need isolation and mask wearing by all horses! Shit should we be worried?
  15. I have raced several horses over the years, and have had wins! Yes it is a thrill winning races, however which part of Averos Spitfire is not going to win a race do the owners not understand?? Race a horse and pay the huge bills, but a suggestion for owners! You will have a lot more fun racing a horse that has ability to win a race, rather than just making up no.s!
  16. Ludwig, are you serious or taking the piss? Owners get a thrill out of paying training bills for many years and then get a thrill out of watching their costly horse run down the track every start? If you would, then clearly it doesnt take much to give you thrills!
  17. Galah, you are correct, if people are stupid enough to waste their money owning and punting on horses with the limited ability that Averos Spitfire has, then they deserve what they get! Fortunately Galah, I am in the financial position to be able to spend when and where I desire, without the need to answer to anyone!
  18. Averos Spitfire owners need to realise that their horse just doesnt warrant spending thousands on to try and win a race now! When you have a horse that can not run a place in over 50 starts, you would think that you have a horse not worth persevering with? it has 2 3rds in its last 10 starts which is a major improvement to its first 50 starts but seriously, retire the horse as a hack, after its latest run! Who are these mug punters that back it and NZ TAB odds at under $3 to win is just lunacy!!!
  19. Krug @$1.70
  20. All Brodie asks for is that punters are treated fairly! I have often not been able to get anymore than $40 on and yet last night the NZ TAB took a bet of $10,000! How on earth is this fair??
  21. More than what they want to offer currently, Mike! Do not consider TAB Bookies limiting punters to $40 being fair! They put the odds up let the punters have a chance. A reasonable bet would be $2k
  22. Rule is not working. The original rule that was working for everyone, was working so why did Rennell bother to change it?
  23. There is something in the Christchurch water that needs to go as well! Bloody chlorine!
  24. The tote pools appear to be shockingly low tonight! To be fair, the fields hardly inspire betting into them, but how they can afford to be paying the stake money they are offering tonight is questionable! Think it would be a Meeting that loses money!!
