The Brodster is no Lucille Ball!!!,
-
Just a total Dickhead! How they missed him is hard to understand as the jockeys didnt seem to slow down and the Dickhead can count himself very lucky! However if that is the mentality, then maybe the jockeys missing him didnt do the country any favours! He may have had a destiny to be killed but he has no right whatsoever to endanger other lives, Public flogging and then a few nights in the slammer in maximum security ! Dont think he will be thinking about doing anything again so blatantly dumb after that!
-
So Mark still there, driving, assisting, picking horses to buy, same colours! What has changed? Nothing! Hmmmm
-
Hayden Cullen may have the horses under his name, but he has as much say as he did previously! What is Purdon still doing driving the horses etc? It is a load of BS, this new arrangement! More to it than meets the eye, if they wanted a break they wouldve walked away! Hmmmmm!
-
More BS! Som e get fined for driving with too much vigour and anther gets done for not driving vigorously enough!!!! New whip rule is not working RIU, why on earth you changed it from what it originally was is nard to fathom? Thats right, you panicked and changed something that did not need changing!
-
Why doesnt he write stories about the dishonest lawyers and accountants and financial advisers as there are alot more of them! Na, harness racing as I have a snitch!
-
VB is a plonker! He is feeding off the titbits that some lowlife is feeding him! Who has told VB about the meeting with Gary Woodham? This is not something that is newsworthy at all!, Is is any wonder the Press is dead. The level of journalism nowadays is so low. Look at the crap we get every bloody day about the killer virus in NZ, they are in the governments pocket, scared to say anything against it!!
-
Maybe we should not be mentioning this Dickhead Van Beynon? Someone should dig up some shit about this clown! Did Matt Anderson win a National Premiership???
-
Gamma, a fair proportion of the Ozzie drivers drive like they have been on the grog for a long time, and I suggest that they drive a helluva lot worse that what Blair Orange would registering 120mcg!
-
No point answering each one, but to summarise, I have never once condoned Blair Orange or Bob Butt being over the current rule of 100mcg of breath alcohol! I am taking it that the 120mcg for Blair as someone quoted to be correct, if not I would have another opinion. I have no knowlege of what Bob Butt’s reading was! I reiterate, Blair Orange driving at the above reading would be no extra dangerous than someone who has been drinking lemonade all morning. Blair obviously drank Saturday night and clearly thought that kt would be out of his system by the time he was tested and it would’ve been under the 100mcg in short time after testing! By the time he jumped in the cart for his first drive of the day he would be recording ZILCH, so he was not endangering anyones life!!!!
-
Marky, you ask the question as to what level of alcohol should be permissible for a driver to be OK to drive? Personally, I believe a far better question on that basis is at what level of intelligence should a harness driver have to be able to drive safely on the track? It is not difficult to ascertain that many of the drivers currently licensed, should not be out on the track going by their consitently very poor decision making! Not picking on any one driver whatsoever, but the assumption that New Zealand’s top driver is not capable of making sound decisions on the track, due to having a minuscule breath alcohol reading is farcical!
-
The truth of the matter is that if Blair had his breath analysis taken 15 minutes later then we wouldnt even be naving this debate!! It is all about someone that enjoys drinking as most harness participants! I take it that Blair drove to the course legally as he wouldve been under the legal limit! Someone has tipped the stipes off that they should breathalyse Blair as he had been drinking the night before! Someone tested Blair, whether the recording machine was accurate is unknown! 15 minutes later Blair tests under the legal 100mcg which is a pathetically low amount that would not affect anyones decision making! This needs to be put into perspective and I believe that it is a mountain out of a molehill!!!!!!
-
Gamma why keep quoting this MarkyMark. Why is his opinion worth anymore than anyone else’s? would back Blair’s ability over al these other tea totallers any day. Ot is a storm I’m a tea cup once again. Van Beynon needs a life he tried to stuff young Munro’s life for nothing!
-
To be fair what Banksy said is what the majority of Kiwis would agree with. yes not socially or culturally correct nowadays but is fact!
-
Marky, I am not condoning drunk driving, just saying that 120mcg breath alcohol reading for Blair Orange’s ability to drive on the track would not be compromised, due to his natural ability!!!!!
-
FFS Ranga, Blair could drive with a helluva lot higher reading and still be way better than most drivers out there!
-
What is the name of the second Stu? What did AllCock train?
-
Been out all day and didn’t see any races but well done to Amber Hoffman and the new owners! What were the other trainers doing previously has the stipes checked the freeze brand?
-
The TAB has Spitfire at $3.20 and $1.40 Fixed!!! Is it April 1st? You have to be kidding, drawn 8 against a field that is not as bad as it has been racing against! Seriously, what punters are dumb enough to take those odds? The Bookies clearly know more about the horse than the horse itself! Needs retiring but the new owners are just taking the piss.
-
Marky, I have though about it! What I would say is that if you have an alcohol reading of 120mcg and it affects your ability to make decisions that are compromised, I would respectfully suggest that they stay in bed all day!
-
Going around in circles Gamma, now! I reiterate, I do not support drunk harness drivers on the track! I have no idea what Bob’s reading was! If Blairs reading was higher than 120mcg then yes I would have issues with him being out on the track, although if anyone was able to handle it, it would be Blair! Point is that 120mcg if that is what the reading was, is extremely marginal if you think that it would impair a driver of the ability kf Blair Orange! When has Blair Orange caused any accidents in his thousands of drives, and yet you are saying that having alcohol in his system as low as 120mcg is putting other drivers at risk? I suggest the RIU should in fact be coming down on the drivers who lack the competency to be out on the track, totally sober!!!!!! Anyway, agree to disagree Gamma, which is just fine!
-
Marky, you are being pretty dumb if you think that Blair Orange the best driver in NZ would be impaired due to having a breath alcohol reading of 120 mcg!!!!! As I have said previojsly by the time he drove it would be ZILCH!! If I was the RIU, I would be far more worried about the nil drivers that they allow to jump into the cart each week, than Blair who was slightly over a very low limit! You stated he could be tired, maybe he was and maybe some of the other drivers were also tired but are they tested by a sleepometer? Anyway it has happened and nothing we can say is going to affect the result! It is pretty obvious that some harness participants are being targeted, due to previous dealings
-
He wasnt drinking at work! He was obviously having a few the night before and was feeling that the alcohol was out of his system by races time!
-
No, but Blair Orange at 120mcg is not going to be any problem to other drivers on the track! Yes he tested over the 100mcg by 20mcg which is buggerall and here some are thinking that he was going to be a menace on the track!!!! I could give you a long list of drivers that should not even be out on the track driving even totally sober!
-
How was Blair meant to know he was 120 mcg rather than the 100mcg limit? it was so little over and is a pretty seasoned drinker, so wouldve thought he was fine!!
