  1. Chief, why does it matter? Did you not read the other post where Ranga once again called me a liar! I said that I used to like the Greymouth harness racing one reason because of the fact that the AllStars horses weren’t didn’t race there! Ranga called me a liar because Purdon had raced horses on the Greymouth track! He came up with 13 starters out of all of the races that Greymouth has had, and how many were actually winners out of those 13 starts He didn’t say. My point was that Purdon did not dominate all of the races and stakes were shared amongst many owners and trainers unlike where the AllStars juggernaut dominate nowadays. Ranga just wants to be an antagonistic sod!
  2. Yes it was a moral and maybe the Brodster was on?
  3. Roman, I do have a policy of not tipping out horses on here, you are correct. When have I ever stated that I have backed a winning horse after a race? Finally, no I would never pick the card of any meeting at all, because I am not have “ a bet on every race” punter and never will be or have been. Betting on every race is a sure fire way of not making money, but that is what the TAB wants non winning punters to do!
  4. Ranga, so clearly he was into racing all his horses at Greymouth back then! So 13 starters at Greymouth, really active wasn’t he? Which one of them won a few races or group race? I rest my case!!
  5. Whinging, perhaps , passionate, yes! Point our injustices, yes! Cant be bothered with clowns in 2020, yes!
  6. “Fake News” as they say!! ”operation Inca” has got plenty of that happening as well. Dont bother Ranga!
  7. Geez you are an annoying xxxxxxx!! My initial point was that Greymouth was good enjoyable racing and NO the ALLSTARS were not prevailing with wins at Greymouth thru domination like they have in Canterbury over the last years whenever they lined up. You being the antagonistic sod that you are have to dig up a picture of a Mark Purdon trained horse with NO Mark Purdon in the cart!!!! Get a life you insomniac! Go annoy Globe!
  8. Couldn’t agree more Globe! Thats what I was saying to Ranga, who constantly posts BS!!
  9. Are you now saying you are a fruit loop?
  10. Seriously Ranga, you have got major problems when you are posting at 4.0 a.m in the morning!!!! Take a sleeping pill!
  11. Ranga, go and get a hobby! I warned you before about calling me a liar. You are a fruit loop! You need treatment that no one on here can give you unfortunately! Refrain from replying to any of my comments or I am gone, Can’t be bothered with your antagonistic BS In 2020
  12. Dickhead!!
  13. So what we are saying is that Mark Purdon targeted Greymouth stakes as well by racing 2 horses in 2006? I still don’t believe that he raced many horses at Greymouth at all!!
  14. Whiteman, America only know about mile racing that is all they know. There horses are bred for speed rather than stamina so that is what they race! Why I am not sure! Went to the Meadowlands a few years ago and racing was yes boring although was worth seeing as a bucket list item! Wagering may be increasing but imagine how much better it would be with distance racing? Look if our clubs want to program racing over a mile then that is their prerogative however if they think It works to retain punters and attract new ones, they are in cuckoo land!
  15. 100% correct. NZ clubs need to abandon this mile racing now! American racing is terrible and always has been racing over a mile and if they continue to run miles they deserve what they get.
  16. When a Sonic Reign can go 1.53 odd for a mile it shows how overrated black print is with 2.0 minute mile rates! Sonic Reign is a less than average horse but won in that time but wouldn’t have a dogs show of ever winning a race at Addington!!! Watched the racing and wasn’t that excited with it however it does allow poor horses to win due to the short distances. If Sonic Reign can go 1.53 imagine times over a mile that good horses could go?
  17. Don’t remember them at all! What year did they race at Greymouth do you know? Certainly didn’t win much or I would remember them! Purdon clearly didn’t dominate Greymouth races back then like he plunders all the big races nowadays!!!
  18. We are lucky to have Trackside but we were told that when they had channels 62 and 63 they were going to accommodate more of the local market. They haven’t done this at all, they try and squeeze in as many meetings from all, over the globe and have next to nothing in The pools
  19. Lol, you have kept box’s of race books going back over a decade of years? Ranga, you disappoint me, I thought you would be able to name all of these horses that Purdon took over to Greymouth and were winning? Must be a memory thing? I wouldn’t have thought that the Rest Home would have sufficient storage in the garage?
  20. Ok so what were these horses that you say he was winning with at Greymouth? He has certainly changed tack on what races he targets if he was taking horses to Greymouth. Personally can not remember him winning many if he was it was very very few!,,
  21. I have selective memory
  22. Ranga, you obviously go back a lot further than I do! What years was he sending horses to Greymouth and can you possibly remember any of his winners. I don’t dwell on past winners, couldn’t even remember Cup winners years, prefer a maiden race any day!
  23. Nelson Trotting Club have been financially short for many years. Clubs that run only 4 meetings a year are hardly going to be financially ok is this day and age. Not sure what happen ended but a few years ago they got picked up in an audit for GST irregularities where they had claimed GST when they should not have and got a bill for $140k to pay!!! If I remember right they were also the Club that hadn’t been paying their Local Body rates as well but may have been another club. Would not be surprised if the racing is not still going in a few years time and the track converted into residential housing.
  24. Was Mark Purdon training in Canterbury when Greymouth track was still open Ranga? If he was I don’t remember him winning races there at all!
  25. Looked at the odds for tomorrow and is there anyone that can see anything worthwhile backing over a mile, as the odds do seem rather short! Sunday racing will always pull in punters that haven’t got much else to do but I really can not see why on earth Nelson has decided to run miles and some stands at that????? Nelson is a club that is struggling financially and is lucky to still be operating and running this meeting wouldn’t be helping their cause!
