Oz has certainly got it right! Harness NZ certainly made a major stuff up by bringing in stuff a blatantly stupid rule that had no logic to it whatsoever. How do they expect a driver to count up to 10 ea who,e concentrating on driving their horse? HRNZ change the rule back to what it was And admit you erred badly!!!

The Ozzies clearly saw the light and have certainly not banned the whip as they originally wanted to do! They now have no number of hits with the whip in their rules, which is what the ru,es in NZ should be as well. It was just plain stupid when HRNZ brought the rule in with no consensus of support whatsoever and now it is such a confusing and hard to fathom rule! There are injustices involved with the way it is monitored or not monitored! The ship rule is just as Stupid as the other plainly stupid rule they introduced in regards to being able to lodge a protest when there as been interference!!!!!!

Does anyone know what the whip rule currently being used in Oz is, or is it a free for all. Some of them are hitting at least 20 times which is good if you have backed that one. Most drivers are not as meek and mild as our ones are. After we get racing back I imagine our drivers will be wanting to make u for lost time, to try and get some money back!!!

With no racing on in Nz have been watching with intent the harness racing in Oz for the last few days. The whip rule that they have just seems to work! Is there actually a limit as to how many times you are allowed to use the whip over there nowadays? I can tell you, it is refreshing to see that most of the drivers aren’t shy to use the whip to encourage their horses to do their best! Does make for very good punting when you know that they aren’t counting and scared to do anything! HRNZ bring in the rule that they have over there and it will improve the racing and encourage punters to offload, and lets face it, you need punters badly!!!!!

Not a psychotic frenzy as of yet, slightly frustrated with what is going on, yes. 2 deaths so far unfortunately and yesterday was a frail lady in her 90s with several age related issues and they put it down to Covid19? We really do need to start some more businesses opening with care. There are far more deaths going to happen from the consequences of the shutdown than the cold virus we currently have!!!!! As for the AllStars success, don’t give a rats, it is just something that is going to be another reason why owners are just not going to be bringing their horses back into work. Cruising definitely off the agenda for quite awhile I would say, not just for me but for many others. Keep safe

Happy, wouldn’t call them hypocrites but I would say that you are correct with the second one you stated! Hopefully once NZ Racing is back, they may well see the error of their ways and treat all punters equally! The NZ TAB will need as many punters they can get when things start to resume or they may as well close the doors and give the ones that are on mega dollars the D C M!

Seems like a reasonable decision to race at Addington as it is the best track for racing in Australasia bar none. Think Auckland will struggle with fields as there will be A bit of blood on the floor from both the sharemarket and loss of business income and jobs. Many of the small number of owners will not be wasting their time and Auckland certainly can’t afford the large stakes they currently seem to have! Will be interesting to see if there are going to be many that don’t settle on the apartments at Alexandra Park now due to the Corona Virus. Bearing In mind unfortunately the virus death toll doubled today, with respect the deceased was in her 90s and had several age related issues!!!

Maybe the TAB will set one up? Hopefully we will have a more realistic and fair TAB that wants customers rather than trying to turn them away and not accepting bets that are genuine and not money laundering or assisting terrorism!!!

Firstly the point was having an outlet open so that punters can feed their account so that they can have a go on Ozzie Racing! Secondly, yes you can have betting vouchers credited to an account, however how on earth do you do this when there is no TAB agency or outlet open to be able to cash them in????

We all the the TAB are bleeding at the moment , like all other businesses! There is still harness racing on in Australia that we can have a go on if you have funds in your account! However, with the TAB looking for a handout, and essentially a government department, it could be classed as an essential business to try and keep punters sane during the 4 weeks home detention! Obviously at the moment there are no agencies, or pub Tabs open so we can not bet on them. Supermarkets and Pharmacies are open with social separation and queueing so why can’t the TAB open one branch in each city or town so that punters can have an option to be able to feed their TAB account so that they can offload on the Oz races? Some punters have got betting vouchers burning a hole in their wallet that could be cashed in to go into their accounts! There must be a lot of money not being captured that could well be, if this was allowed and give some people some entertainment in their current boring existence!! Not everyone wants to fund it thru their bankcards!
