Clint Ford does not drive very often as we all know, as the Tomlinson’s seem to do all Ken Ford’s driving! Not too sure why Clint drives Marcoola as it is basically the only one he does drive for the team! Ken Ford is a massively underrated trainer of trotters and the whole family is an asset to harness racing in Canterbury! Yes Marcoola is an extremely good trotter and deserves A Good Driver and I am sure that Clint will stand down if he stuffs up in Australia!

Clint knows the horse and personally think that he has done a very good job of driving Marcoola! There are a ton of other drivers I would sack on other horses before Clint Ford on Marcoola!

Problem for racing is that if the new punters coming thru get into solely into sports punting, then racing will not see the money! It costs heaps to run any racemeeting and if not enough is wagered then meetings won’t happen eventually! Burying your heads in the sand won’t help either! Happy, you are correct in regards to the betting movements with Fixed Odds! You can put buggerall on for a place and they cane both the win and place odds! There are some things that are ok with the new system but it ain’t $40m worth that’s for sure! TAB only interested in getting young ones into sports punting, that is why the live betting appears first, no other reason!

What is the point of trialling once. It will go to the trials where there are 2 or 3 and do everything right and be back racing and breaking again! Point is Ranga, is that they did not have the harness whip on their agenda and still haven’t a clue what is going on! HRNZ stuffed up majorly with their decision based on panicking for no reason, and this has impacted on the industry! Whiteman, most owners throughout NZ know that it is very difficult to break even racing horses in NZ! Not too sure what your last comment about the AllStars not racing at Manawatu or Marlborough is meant to mean? They prefer to race for the big money to clean up those races, that is what the problem is!

Whiteman, most enthusiasts are aware that harness racing is pretty weak in the Marlborough region and that is why the horses go to Palmerston North where the quality of horse is not as good! They do pick up their fair share of winners up there. The good thing about the racing on the Nelson Blenheim circuit is that the stake money is shared around although with costs most owners won’t be flush with cash. Great to see the AllStars stables winning races in Australia, and leaving us alone!

Rangatira, note that Basil has not responded due to him having several eggs on his face! What is your opinion on the false information that was stated by S.A.F.E that HRNZ was scared of? Do you not think that SAFE should know what is going on if they are so worried about the harness whip rule?
