  1. Better to sit the cup out and just watch. Gambling is so overrated! Far better to invest!
  2. Lazarus will sure more winners here than in the U.S. I believe he will be sent back here in the next couple of years! Yeeeeeenaaaaaagooooooooobooooooy etc. Owners Rights to sell him but personally thought that they would’ve made far more by standing him at stud here!!!!!

    Shut Up Greg

Personally think Greg does a really good job on Trackside. We are very lucky in Canterbury with Mark McNamara and Greg O’Connor as well as Matt Cross. They leave the North Island equivalents for dead!
  4. Charlie Wood was certainly one of his best and a bit of an ironhorse. Beleive he started out as a pacer and then trotted for many races. Dougs horses always just seemed to want to run as fast as they could for as long as they could! Remember him out the cart in the preliminaries most of the time lol
  5. It is sad news. One thing Doug will be remembered for was his horse in the bog at Reefton or Westport that was out by 200 metres or so and got beaten!!! Was it something like Surprise Warrior???
  6. Yes horrible thing to happen to any horse! Also gotta feel for the punters who offloaded big time on the “Fixed Odds”
  7. Lazarus has not done enough over there, for American breeders to flock to him in big numbers. Lazarus has been an amazing horse, as good as anything I have seen. I still beleive that he will be returned to NZ for breeding purposes at some stage! If he doesn’t come back, then I am not on the money, but then who would bet against “The Brodster” being right?
  8. What would a good miler here go for the Trittons then?
  9. As you know I am a huge fan of mile race lol. Just read that Bridget Blue Chip Who was trained by Robbie Holmes has won at Menangle over the mile in 151.7 mile after sitting parked! Bridget was a reasonable race horse but pretty one paced I thought, she never set the world on fire racing in Canterbury. Now trained by the Tritton’s who as we know can fire them up! Who would’ve thought this mare could run that time after a hard run in the open? Mile Racing is an anomaly, and I am sure that there have been heaps of horses that have been retired in NZ when they could’ve been extremely quick performers over the mile in Menangle or the states!!!!!
  10. Flagship, are you serious? Everyone knows that there is something not quite right there! He always brings us up, so if anyone is jealous it is him! Goooooooooboooooooyyyyyy yeeehaaaaaahaaaaaaa oooooooooh Yeah etc!!!!!
  11. If he has been retired it is a bit weird. Has the trainer said he is GONE. This after the trainer said how well he was? Will be interesting to see if he is sent back here, because I can’t see too many Yanks breeding to him despite his amazing race record here!
  12. Yes certainly was very poor! Unless he starts winning them in a row, I can see him being exported back to NZ like I said several months ago! He is not going to be very commercial in the United States by the way he is going at the moment. There will be a reason for his poor performance hopefully?
  13. In a 9 horse field you don’t need to go to the fence.
  14. Newmarket, certainly not following it at all! Looked a certainty last night in a 9 horse field with a driver with any ability on it and was overs on the place! It was chucked in in that field and I was worried about McLellan but god he is not flash!!!!!!!
  15. It is not a flea at all. It always wins when it comes up to Canterbury. So you are saying that he tried to win last night by going down on the fence in a 9 horse field full of mugs???? McLellan just can’t drive anymore and he should be in the stands, end of storey if that is the best he can do nowadays !!!
  16. Think you are wrong Newmarket. If she draws well and trails there is another win in her, providing McLellan wants to drive semi responsibly!!!
  17. Veras Delight with any reasonable driver would have won that race last night! A nine horse field and he wants to be locked up back on the fence as usual and not get a run! The horse is a nine year old mare who you would think would be served this year, so you would think he would be out to get a final win or two when you are in an extremely winnable race, compared to what she had been racing against! Brendon McLellan you need to give yourself an upppercut for another pathetic drive, but yes pretty consistent with most of your others in the past year or so. Yes talking from my wallet but Harness NZ need To get real if they want people to continue to offload money into it! Mr McLellan needs to be read the riot act by both the Stipes and also his owners. No driving wins Mr McLellan this season and you can see why!!!!!!
  18. Wouldn’t be sure that he wasn’t trying to win, but he is certainly very trying as far as punters are concerned. His UDR for all of his years of driving is over .1500 and yet it is only .04 this year. He obviously has very loyal owners but they a,so must have deep pockets and be pretty meek and mild knowing that he is not going to give their horses every chance. Is there anyone that will go in to bat for Mr McLellan’s driving ability nowadays? Na doubt it very much!
  19. At least he didn’t say a mans man!!!
  20. This fellah used to be able to drive pretty well I thought!! What has happened to him? He should be sitting in the stand as he is now terrible Always goes down on the fence and more often than not never gets clear runs! Everytime Veras Delight comes to Canterbury it goes well because he isn’t driving it! I hope you read this Brendon because you seriously need to put on drivers that are going to give your horses a chance to win! The fact that you haven’t driven a winner in nearly forty starts this season should be telling you something!!!
  21. Never ever had either Rangatira! Would rather be treated fairly though!!!
  22. No it isn’t just rejection of bets!
  23. Na I have no problem with my gender, Rangatira! Just treat punters differently! They love the losing punters!
  24. Happy, not war stories! Just that the TAB does not treat punters equally and then are not forthcoming with the truth!
  25. No I don’t think they will as they are a law unto themselves. Do know from personal experience that they do not always tell it the way it is!!!!!!
