Not a major, but I notice that Stunin Love in the last race at Oamaru today is down as being a 4 year old e! An e stands for an entire which means he isn’t two stones lighter! They used to always call the male horses over 3 years of age horses if they hadn’t been gelded! Has this now changed or is there something I am not aware of?

Shit, I wasn’t on the money then, I called it Stunnin Cullen lol. It did win well when it did win at Addington awhile back, but wasn’t that impressive in its trial or workout at Rangiora, or,its run firstup down south!

You are dead correct in regards to the Micharl House runners Richie. They perform at Manawatu far better than Canterbury and there have already been money to be made betting against them. ThinknStunnin Cullen is major unders in the last at $2 on what it has shown this time in, hopefully no egg on the face as I am always on the money. Alexy looks the place bet in that with Ricky on and it has been going good races and got good draw! Has shortened up a bit but still looks ok at $2.

Basil, I am sure you are an intelligent man. The returns to the TAB used to be Gallops about 13% dogs about 14% and harness around 6% profit roughly a couple of years ago. Then the whizz kids in Wellington thought gee our profit on harness is half of the other 2 codes, so how do we fix this? We will limit the winning punters and give even shitier odds on harness so that will put the good punters off and will leave the others to take the poor odds and that will get out percentage up, and I think it did increase to about 10%. As I have said on many occasions this is false economy because what it does do is puts many punters off having a go! The thing is that it is all about turnover and getting punters new and old to offload and remain in the punting game. Put enough off and they don’t bother again. The reality is that the bigger the turnover the bigger the profit as it is a no.s game. Yes there will be winners but there will be more losers and if you have got bugger all turnover, you have bugger all profit. The NZ TAB are not the worst Bookies in the world by a long shot, but they need to remain competitive as it is pretty easy to get offshore nowadays with the many betting agencies. I don’t bother really now as I have been closed down by several so there is no real challenge for Brodie!

Sportsbet stopped me from investing on Nz harness. When I phoned them they wouldn’t put me thru to the Bookies but basically said that they didn’t have to take anyone’s bets! Think they are all much of a muchness worldwide, they don’t like paying out!

Only one I have left in Oz is Beteasy, opened at Centrebet, then it went to William Hill and is now Beteasy. I

Good news for the owners as no more costs and not so dangerous for horses in races. Hope Beragio has a great retirement, as his heart wasn’t really in Racing was it!

Longowner, The reality is that Brodie is always on the money with what he says! Some like to disagree with me just for the sheer hell of having me on, but at the end of the day you will find that what I say is spot on!!! Ladbrokes could be OK but I wouldn’t really know they shut me down after about a month from investing!! If you win the agencies either restrict you to next to nothing or stop you getting a bet on!!!

The odds were not updated all day, tote or fixed for the Cambridge trots until just before the first race!!!

Not sure what on earth is going on, but the divas and Fixed Odds are frozen as at 03.48 this morning by the look of it!!!!! Has anyone got updated odds since this time???? How cana nooner make money when it is in this situation?

Agree that we should be enjoying the opportunity to discuss things re harness racing on either site. The reality is that there was a pathetic element on RC that was out to just cause trouble with some of the main contributors over there. Not going to name names, Fart Too Much, Kotare Hunter and a couple of others. The clowns have now decided to try and rock the boat on the Premier site here. If they pulled their heads in and acted half sensibly there wouldn’t be a problem.

If this was aimed at Brodie, then I will take that as a major compliment! Of course I am one eyed, opinionated etc. but always on the money. The thing is That yes you are correct in that some have brought it on themselves! Exactly why so many have left the sinking ship due to a few over there that set out to just antagonise and disrupt, and that was tolerated by the Administrator. What several on here have had to endure should not have been allowed to happen, Harewood, and I am sure Chief will not allow it to happen on this Premier site

Beragio has been stood down from yesterday’s race to complete 1 satisfactory trial!!!! So it can run in a small trial with 3 or 4 horses and it has to be satisfactory! No doubt we will see the mighty Beragio back at the races in the future as the owners clearly think that it is worth persevering with as a racing proposition. They should be given an award at the Annual Harness Rewards this year for being the most optimistic and most perseverant bunch of owners in the game! Good luck to them, they will need it!

Correct, the horse should’ve been stood down many times for his breaking during a race, which could be very dangerous to others. Doubt the horse has got the ability or right head space at 8years of age to actually win a race in NZ. Seriously, when and where has it shown any sort of ability, running a place at Blenheim on the grass is not noteworthy! Doubt whether he could win a Wednesday trial at the moment due to his willingness to gallop for no reason whatsoever! As I have said there are slower horses probably racing but they don’t gallop 5 times in a race. The previous trainer and owner passed the horse onto Murray Edmonds as he had obviously decided he couldn’t win with it. Maybe Murray has taken it on under some special training arrangement but if he has then he is going to be down the gurgler financially! The horse is an absolute shocker, end of storey!

There has just become the trolling element from the darkside come over recently to spoil the enjoyment of this site, as the other ex Premier site is in the doldrums and I am sure that the posters on here currently don’t want that to happen here.
