  1. Is it true that the jab will destroy ones natural immunity, if so that's very scary, also with work places that mandate under health and safety laws, would they be liable for any major effects from the injection.
  2. Guess some race better given different types of training programs, not a one size fits all approach.

Looked like a reasonable crowdxthere today, but hard to tell on TV, can't say I got on to a winner, but the racing looked good, certainly those draws are crucial, with quite a few caught wide the trip.
  4. Thanks for the rant, it wasn't me that attended, and was turned away, and certainly wasn't directed in anyway at the club, as I know the rules, and yes a NZTR ruling, hence stayed at home, and would never put gate attendants in that position, there only doing a job, some will always flout the rules.
  5. That's a bugger, long way to travel to be turned away, mind you you do see much more on TV, and get a better idea where your money goes, you've would have been around that track many times over the years, I bet, I enjoy the TV coverage everything looked great, but hard to judge crowd numbers, turnover the key.
  6. Racing looked good and track played fair for all, everyone got around in one piece, can ask for much more, how was your turnover.
  7. Any predictions on times, have had some super fast 2000m races up there in previous years.
  8. First meeting I've missed for some years, the vaccine pass enough to keep me away, will be watching on and hope they have great day, hopefully this plandemic be over soon, and some normality can return.
  9. More down to earth the the ole coasters, nothing put on about them.
  10. Certainly a few new year resolutions on the coast today.
  11. One news showed the incident, give the animal right activists all the fuel for their fire, have limited racing coverage, but sure pick up on the negatives.
  12. Interesting in Australia they are compensating the injured and ones hospitalized with side effects, nothing reported on news here about it, must have missed the memo.
  13. No pun there.
  14. Agree with freda have backed this mare a few times, and even when she jumps well, likes to drift and do her own thing, even with her former trainers , but no question of her ability, Putin a big run fresh up at riccarton for fourth paying 80s, although this day she came home via the rail, thought on that run be a cert next start, disappointing run I thought even though better than it probably looked, didn't see her in next start that she won, the thing that I liked at the time was the change of trainer, sometimes, its easy to think when they race from the back and charge home, some think well if we ride her handy and she will finish the race off the same way, how many times have we seen that end in disaster, she certainly is quirky.
  15. Yes many dare not speak out on anything vaccine related, unless positive, a very sad state of affairs, hopefully there's more revolt down the track, d day drawing closer for me, and likely to loose my employment, after 10 plus years of giving your all. Who knows what the future holds, but yo be fair the way things are in this world, one wouldn't be missing much.
  16. No only the unvaccinated
  17. Police are following a number of leads.
  18. Hopefully their track dryed out today, and going should be good tomorrow, see Westports turnover well down, weather a little average, was ok for most of day one, people don't need to many excuses not to attend these days, maybe the vaccine passes chased more away.
  19. Agree, one can only hope better days are on the way, just like they used to be, where everyone was equal, and had the freedom of choice, and guaranteed a job.
  20. Backed that horse at hokitika, classic race to watch, have it on my sky, don fuge always got a winner on the coast, I think he won a grand national hurdle many years back, any one know the horses name.
  21. Surely you'll find somewhere to hang it, a friend invited me to the nudist camp, I said I can't go I've got something on.
  22. Agree with you, it's the surviving without a job the hard part, very sick world we live in.
  23. Very dark day, when the boss delivers the news, like an episode of its in the bag, the money or the jab, after 11 years of loyalty, with never a complaint, it's a choice apparently, how does on survive with out an income, no discrimination on vaccine for trade people, free for all, but pull the old health an safety chesnut for the worker.
  24. Thanks but for that but have vivid memories of that day, traveled down with my girlfriend at the time, not a racing fan, talked her into taking easy bets, she moaned how useless they were and gave up, I duly said i would take the last few races, and lucky managed to land one with a horse called Vidi vici paid I think double figures for a place, collected 350$, and she duly put the hand out for half of the bounty, back to dance on ice I just remember Johnsons ride, was a good one, just held her up for couple strides, then just gave a couple of slaps and she got there, never seen many of the stock of ravel's bolero, she would one of not many nz winners, someone may know more.
  25. Interesting can remember that horse some years back, as it was by ravels bolero, ironically a friend had a couple of them at the time that he leased, not sure what happened but they never raced and may have gone back to the owner, hence why I followed the stock, wasn't many around ,vaguely remember the Westport win, but was on course one day at Oamaru,I'm sure mr Johnson rode her and she lead the trip, just when you thought she was going to be beaten, he cuddled her up had had the last lunge, small world, somethings just seem to stick in ones head, I'm sure Mr Jackson trained her, but will see if I can find an old race book.
