  1. When you have people like BS who think top stakes need topping up before the lower end stakes it says everything about the industry. Dont waste your time on a Saturday when there is great Aus racing on hand.
  2. Like everything in nzracing - absolute transparency for those that get a seat at the table.
  3. Not sure, have to admit haven't paid much attention to it , it's such a snorefest to me the whole awt racing.
  4. I'll be cheering him home, he is exactly what we need in racing in this country at the moment. I'll back something else should help him out ; )
  5. Well unlike some others I have every faith the AWT will continue to be a success, our leaders have told us so and have been open and transparent about their performance to date. I'm sure this is just a minor blip, wait till Riccarton & Awapuni get up and running , then we will really know what success is!
  6. That problem doesn't just sit with them, it's the advice they get that keeps the distribution like this. You only have to look at who benefits from it to understand it.
  7. I'm "Positive" they'll say too much racing around after COVID!
  8. I think CS is trying to make a point, trainers have/not... lots/none... money...so are ok/not ok to pay fines? Am I getting close CS?
  9. Would $600k go far in an operation like theirs? i.e. 10% of Prize$ from last season.
  10. That's what I thought, the Aus pools are hard to get a line on (non comingled), just worrying a bit with the level of interest on the NZ product I'd have thought not much else on there might have been some serious interest in them. R7 12k win pool, 8k place pool
  11. R4 Cambridge $10k in Win Pool, $6k in place pool , you'd hope there was lot of Fixed odds betting going on?
  12. Pools in NZ are certainly looking smaller? than usual, thought there might have been a pick up given the break.
  13. C'mom mate, he is no "Fairy Flash" but he is pretty entertaining!
  14. Bit of alright ain't she
  15. They'll still get 8-10 at hawera in mdn 1200, plenty enough to justify having a race.
  16. I've found one for us at Moruya R5 no. 6 Secadia - Get on!
  17. Those up North are running the show JB, no doubt about that. One stable in particular , no prizes for guessing. It truly is an almighty mess , they couldn't get races going during Level 4 like their Aus counterparts supposedly because our lockdown restrictions were so much more severe , doesn't look much better in L3 .
  18. Not only that , but the clown show has trials on up north the same day , so plenty of riders won't be heading to the Hawera meeting and going to the trials. Looking at the noms you'd think the races were put on for those up north at any rate with stables from up that way nominating plenty.
  19. Oh to be young again ; )
  20. But hey , everyone loves those loveable scoundrels from BGP , who are saving our industry one punt at a time , right?
  21. If there are any takers out there, I want you to know I'm willing to lose every cent of someone else money also, especially for TAB top ups. How about the love for the NZ TAB, weren't these guys in bed with Ladbrokes not long ago? Punters Club | Lockdown 2021 Well we had over 4,200 of you involved in the Lockdown Punters Club and a starting kitty of $286,415. We finished the day with only 90% of the money which isn't ideal. We had our backs absolutely against the wall and were forced into a Quinella corner as we launched our final $50,000 at the last race at Caulfield to get a huge collect for the day of $270,000. Judging by social media, plenty of you were absolutely frothing. The TAB have acknowledged the unreal rollercoaster we've gone through in this punters club and respect the fact we were willing to have a real crack going to zero. They have offered to top up the pool to bring everyones stake back to 100% - this will already be in your account. How good! They appreciate how close we were with Yiyi and thought the Tofane bet was a tough one to swallow. Please show some gratitude and respect to the TAB with your punting this week. The TAB will be first to provide New Zealand markets as soon as NZ racing is back! No doubt plenty of you capitalised off of the bonus back races at Caulfield today (probably Tofane - unfortunately we weren't able to get a $50,000 bonus bet back ). It is always a heap of fun to get the community together and scream winners home together, especially during a lockdown. Thank you to those people who jumped on the livestream for a day of punting - a good 200 of you for a 7 hour shift. Refunds - NZ TAB have paid 100% of your stake direct to your TAB account so please check your account.
  22. Yep that is it I'm afraid, what is more interesting is how do they manage to get so much money for their syndicates? Did I hear right $280k , have they an outstanding track record of success on the punt or something?
