That would have seemed a sensible , logical move ...which in NZ racing terms means it's unlikely to happen. Crazy.

The grass track racing is certainly popular, but at Gore today the problem occurred which happens at many other courses. Namely, the crossing. I don't profess to be any expert on the subject, but surely there has to be a better solution to smoothing these out. It was just about inevitable that in most races, breakers occurred at the crossing. What's the fix?

I've never really understood why the current New Plymouth track has been preserved with for so long. There are multiple issues with the track, and in a growing city with a big demand for land for housing, the site is an obvious solution. Time to sell up and relocate to a better location

Time was eventually called on Forbury, rather than prolong the agony . Let's hope any decisions re Alex Park are made promptly and sensibly. I don't think I could handle another ludicrous thread with ideas such as turning Alex Park into a circus or sideshow of gimmicky carnival acts
