Just reading a biography of Muldoon, and it makes reference to Noodlum and his co owner, the incompetent cabinet minister, Colin Mclachlan. I have less than fond memories of Mclachlan, but have a vacant patch as regards Noodlum. Any particular memories, thoughts??

Silly question I suppose, but I was wondering if the CJC has a five or ten year plan for the Cup carnival? Things it wants to change, new growth areas, changes to programme etc?? Or is supplying enough food and grog to the suits its top priority??

I agree. I thought it was plain boring. But the question that keeps bothering me. Why does Auckland need or deserve this million dollar race meeting in February when that is all it can deliver for a regular meeting.?

I have the same problem with my tennis. We seem to get the same inane British commentators whose sole expertise is to tell us repeatedly how wonderful is Andy Murray...even if the match on court is between a guy from Norway and one from Kazakhstan.

Looking at the nominations for the Cup today, gee there is a lack of depth. And then, just five nominated for the junior free for all...bring back Aveross Spitfire.

I agree. TV one simply wants money from the ad revenue . Quality of broadcasting is now irrelevant. It's about the look, and they think Toni Street sitting there smirking with a ridiculous hat on her head will bring in revenue. That's what they care about.

Saw about 30 seconds. I watched the lightweight Toni Street and some lightweight talking drivel. Dreadful.
