  1. Good on you Pam, with all those animals to look after almost like being rural, you have been in the game for a number of years, so I'm sure that you will keep trucking on, after all of this. For me biking past the cemetery at 5.00am in the morning and seeing how fast its filling up, keeps you thinking things can always worse.
  2. Lucky for me work carries on as per normal, keeps things normal for me, and the fact I live in a rural area plenty of open spaces, do feel for those who can't have their normal routine at this tough time, sometimes we have to be careful what we wish for in life, and appreciate when have work and a routine in life, we must keep battling on and keep our sense of humor, jokes anyone.

    Remember

Great meeting there, everything handy, made for great viewing, the local trainers, Pope's, Keenan's, William's, Wildbores, to name a few, the scenic land stakes for the mares, which was worth 5K back then, then the bracketed races, which I found hard to understand at the time, and only 40c for a race book back in those days, remember a few of the hardy campaigners that would would front up, a few of my favourites, ernest a showy black horse, gaucho, High Roona, worldly miss, brutus, firpo just to name a few, the memories keep flooding back, they were great days, have to grab for the hanky now, to dry the eyes.
  4. Certainly a media frenzy, that they will feast on for sometime, going to be a slow month when every day we are constantly reminded of the which day we are into, and see the same content multiple times.
  5. Glad you liked that one, the odds have been stacked against me, your brother must be a good man.
  6. Straight from the head, everyone loves a good joke, talking of mothers, my mates mother in law had a nasty accident, she fell down the wishing well, crickey he said, I didn't know they worked.Got to keep the humor up in these dark times.
  7. Just about everything canceled now, even the local bridge tournament, don't know how they will get over it.
  8. Agree with your comments, charity begins at home as they say, quite unreal given the situation of nz racing.
  9. A trip down memory lane, you certainly don't forget them, tough on connections, what a star he was.
  10. I try hard but never mind, did get invited to the nudist camp for the weekend, said i couldn't go, as I had something on.
  11. I considered space travel, but someone told me there was no atmosphere.
  12. Might give them the trots.
  13. Good to see the old boy pick one up today, best draw he has had for a few starts, to short at 9s for me, guess change of driver the key, also sods law, coast form stacked up pretty good. Two of my old suspects that missed my attention today, work the priority today.
  14. Very competitive, great effort from the southern team.

    Virus

Plenty of extra toilet paper been shipped in, reason being if anyone sneezes, everyone will shit themselves, certainly be on a roll.
  16. The media are creating the frenzy, sick of hearing about it, just blame climate change, seems to be to the blame of just about everything these days.
  17. I heard a pharmacy got broken into, and all the viagra was stolen, the authorities are looking for hardened criminals.
  18. Tidy run, as I thought locked up on the rail, best place to be with the junior on, ran on ok, plenty in behind, nice day out over there, racing average in my opinion, to much leader bias, all winners off the front, only truly run race was the big race, and the best finish, razors edge did slip under my guard.Reefton Sunday, anyone going over.
  19. Fair call, but I will probably follow him for the 2days, fields are a little average to say the least, will be trying to sort a few roughies, and stick with some from the xmas circuit, any of you boys going over.
  20. He's fast and furious the old favourite drawn inside 2nd line, be worth a bet, if he gets locked in there and gets a few gaps up the straight.
  21. She had a very patient owner, that's for sure, did appear on TV some years ago, with her trainer.
  22. Seen a couple rabbits hopping down the road, the other day, one stopped, and the other hopped on.
  23. Many of the horses I been backing have been finding the grass to high, and the tracks to long, anyone else having that issue.
  24. Personally I think luck plays more of a part, even the best of judges don't get it right, some will run and some wont, level playing field, whatever you spend.
  25. What about invercargill tomorrow, still be on.
