Not at all, pay your money and makes your choice, you can send them to the best sires in the world,at the end of the day doesn't guarantee you winner, in my opinion.

I was meaning you have just same chances of winning a race whether you buy cheap horses or expensive ones, no guarantees either way, many rags to riches story in the racing game.
  3. Cant be to harsh on him, keeps the numbers up week in and out, good on him for having a go, with a few battlers that could be in a much worse place than at to the races, plenty of characters in the racing game, and he's just another them.

Participants have a choice whether they buy in or not, so do your research and make your decision, no one twisting your arm, did see an add where they purchased one out of Australia, was a 300k purchase as a yearling, had 4 starts, and I think they bought it for 27k to syndicate.

No givens in this game, level playing field whether you spend 3k or 300k pay your money and take your chances, can't buy a winner that's for sure
  6. Given the plight of racing, may be a better option to make them into a equestrian horse, especially before they make the races, be more financially beneficial for sure
  7. Locked, more like clamped some of them.
  8. Nice one Thomas's,good to see you on the comeback
  9. Must warn anything over 2 pounds must be hand lowered, for fear of cracking the porcelain.
  10. Think I'd be frowning as a trainer to if caught 3 and 4 wide, not sure what the horse drew, but sometimes it is the draw and no matter who the rider is, guess the decision to settle and sit or go forward and use the petrol is the key, guess it helped only with a feather weight, one I have a share in got caught 3 wide the trip at invercargill one day, with 59kg from a handy draw, I was muttering a few expletives at the tab TV, but he managed to get up by the skin of his teeth, you don't see many than can do it, over any distance, was put of madam sequoia with a draw of 16, left me abit annoyed, but that's just racing isn't it.
  11. Haha remember that, did quote it on the other channel, along with them to take the money and run on this issue.
  12. Wasn't to far away, I thought a good run in a very tidy field to be fair, I took wild Jack in the cup, bit gutted he didn't quite get there, the 126 an 26s fixed price was very appealing, just thought a good draw and good rider was a outside chance, fact he had to get off the rail may have held him up a tad and cost him the win, wasn't much in it still remember his great run when beaten in the timaru cup I think by the I'll fated boots n all.
  13. Anyone's race tracker working, mine not all week or so
  14. Agree, but apparently by law they can't stop them returning, which seems bizarre, latest cases nothing to do with returnees, who knows, had a friend that got hit in the head by a flying bottle of omega 3 capsules the other day, he's ok, just suffering a few super fish oil injuries.
  15. Don't know about sausage rolls, more like cold shoulder.

    Why?

Good to see some trackwork on there as well
  17. Just a general comment, wasn't totally referring to yesterday, hence the 81s fixed yesterday I got with Regent Street and Tegan Newman.
  18. Claimers on wet winter tracks a big plus for me
  19. Think the shark lacks abit of bite, I was pleased to get 81s an 17s fixed on Regent street today, surprising the fixed odds were so high, but know complaints from me.
  20. Been no gallops for years anyway
  21. My thoughts exactly, surprisingly for most its follow the leader, as we seen who dares wins, no pun,but just seems to me most follow the crowd and those who try otherwise seem to be rewarded, have always struggled to understand their thinking, as we all know the shortest way home, and just how much ground can be saved, and how much is lost by drifting wide.
  22. Congrats super win in a very tidy field,
  23. Anyone got any tips for Friday, I thought maybe silent rapture, drawn wide though or doctor Tim from the ace maybe worth a look.
  24. I remember the amish mafia, they got the job done, and liked horses to.
  25. What a bonnie mare she was, certainly won many of her races, by dominating the opposition, don't think she left any progeny of note.
