  1. Let's hope they get good weather and a crowd at omoto tomorrow, been a bit of light rain over there, good to see the north islanders continuing to support the meeting.
  2. Club be pleased to get the all clear, and now will be keeping a close eye on the forecast, maybe there will be a pork pie stand this year..
  3. Was todays kurow meeting their last hurrah at home.
  4. No, thats John Thomas.Be some tired horses heading to reefton today, will stick with swap over, last start to bad to be true, sonic reign, sods law the track specialist, be many tired punters to.
  5. Had a friend that had a blow up doll, he took it back to the manufacturer, told him it kept going down on him, he replied if I had know that I would have charged you double the price
  6. Nice tipping, those fixed odds can be a pitiful at times, please you were on the right side of the ledger, I backed one yesterday morning at 71s, at timaru gallops, park ranger, paid 39s tote and closed at 81s fixed, tough at times, but like those outside odds, this horse was with Amanda swart, last start and went that bad I just about didn't back it, but it did go back to original trainer Bruce tapper, some turnaround. Keep up the good work.
  7. No luck at the trots but did get park ranger at 75s fixed huge turnaround in form.
  8. Still the odd shower now.
  9. Looks like at nice day at the moment, good days racing ahead, the going should suit all horses.
  10. Backing up with this on the second day, chuck in swap over better draw, sonic reign again, sods law, light rain their at the mo may suit a few with sting out of track.
  11. Never been the same since they fiddled with that track, has cost them big time since, after many abandonments, hard to say how their financial situation is.
  12. Anyone back been to Jenny's, put my bet on at 5am this morn could only use the fixed option tote odds wouldn't let me do it, fixed price at that time was 22s, yet I only ended up with 17s for some reason, dont know why, to be fair should have paid way more.
  13. Not sure what their beef is, don't even think they chipped in on the new starting gates some years back, although do stand to be corrected on that one, they way things are they should be all United.
  14. Always been locked up that track, even when their were a couple of local horses from out that way, they had to travel to omoto to gallop them, the kumara track was always of limits, from what I was told, this way back in the eighties, they certainly won't want to race at reefton, they have always been a stand alone club, cant understand why they wouldn't.
  15. Cheers for that, will have a wee peep.
  16. Ha ha, something's you never forget, won a couple races since then I think, I'm just looking for a roughie or to, like sods law as well, like the geddes horses on grass, can't tip them all, all the best to you punting boys and girls out there, let's hope we can get on to a winner or to.
  17. Like the gynecologist, they are looking into it.
  18. Heading to the coast trots usual suspects lining up, will stick with been to Jenny's and sonic reign, will back them up the second day, and then again at reefton, I see he's fast an furious in, may be worth following, Can remember last year some oldie called him he's slow and feeble, to be fair went very good races.
  19. From what I know about laminitis it is usually secondary, and I dont think alot Is known about it, been many a horse met its demise from it, just read about a top liner in America that fell victim to it, very sad to lose tavistock, been a very good sire and left winners far and wide.
  20. Nice run today, good reward after a few luckless starts, congrats.
  21. The end of an era, and very sad to be fair.
  22. Tough job finding a good joke these days, told I should have been on a stage, next stage outer town.
  23. The eyes make the best eating, they see you through the week.
  24. At least they were free range and will keep the animal rights people happy, as long as we don't get that swine flu, had a mate that thought he had contracted it, rung up the 0800 health line, but all he got was crackling.
