  1. Think that one in the red is Humphrey. Sure or it.
  2. Not sure if it was still going when wilmas mate won it, it would have been the revised bonus, think Westport the first ever club in the world to record a triple dead heat, club received a thousand pounds in those days, brodie will know all about it, may have been there.
  3. The tough nut springs to mind from memory, a wee bit later on, and may be the odd trotter, from Paul narin stable later on or got close.
  4. I think a horse called wilber win may have got the bonus, some years ago, may have been trained near kumara, I'm sure it was 20k back in the day, been some handy types win it over the years.
  5. What a joke this should never happen, if it was me, I think that would be the finish.
  6. What a great bunch off trotters, certainly jogs my memory from years back, and the old grey course apparently is just a mess now, if I remember correctly the wanted to double the lease, which the club couldn't afford, a shame, not sure why they didn't shift to the grass at omoto, was a nice wee course.
  7. The good old days, when they also had a open class trot over the coast at greymouth.
  8. A mate has a wee interest in him so follow him closely, last start was 4 wide out the straight 3 wide down the side and had the leader on the rest of the race, a barnes special that ride, to be honest to finish within 9 lengths from the winner was a good run, that day, win yesterday not unexpected, but the margin was, the handicapper be on to him for winning out of his grade. Cheers for the stats , quite interesting.
  9. Don't quite believe that 1.06, seem just to fast on what looked like a dead track, certainly was great racing there yesterday, with those tight finishes, and top showings from the south, I need some practice on the new tab site.My bets never went on and that was the only sour note of the day. Will have to check them all next time.
  10. Mogul again, ran very well on Friday.
  11. Yeah, I thought I'd done it right, glad in one way Dee n gee didn't win, was around 80s fixed, but very frustrating, how many times do you have to push except button. Also missed out on the gore cup winner to, never any hassle with old site.
  12. Nice win today after rough ride last start, ran away from them, 52kg and a soft track helped.
  13. Thought I had a good day on the punt, with Dee n gee the quinella with the two raise the flags Iman Jima and countess ruby. Got my bets on early only only to discover for some reason I hadn't, bugger, new site got me bamboozled, my fault for not double checking.
  14. Been a few roughies up their over the last few years, you just never know.
  15. Agree, love the grass racing, just wondered why they switched from the all weather.
  16. Why are they on the grass today
  17. That's Seymour is it.
  18. Be taken my roughies sonic rein and mogul, got to keep the faith.
  19. Nice stakes on offer at hokie on Tuesday, fields reflects that to.
  20. By far the best track on the coast, very good surface, and drains well, had the cyclone through it last February I think, 1 meter deep through tea rooms and track hammered with salt water killing a lot of grass, but still raced about 3 weeks later trots, and you wouldn't even known, but alas the running rail gone nowadays, probably wouldn't take to much to get it back in action, bit off the beaten track. Think the shutes still there but maybe fenced off, the 1200m by the school, if my memory serves me correct, but I am a rusty old relic from a bygone era.
  21. I would say the most abandonments of all the other coast tracks, put together, a shame the track was fiddled with, previous to that never had any issues from what I recall. Early memories it resembled a sponge, soak up anything wet or fine, and race regardless.
  22. Not having much luck down there, seems there is a jinx , with all the abandonment and when they do get to race there's a nasty fall, is this the best track for coast racing, not in my opinion, but that's up to the powers that be.
  23. Hope you people got a piece of sonic reign 9s for second, driven perfectly, but couldn't hold out the winner, those 40s were looking good.
  24. Good on ya, and congratulations on the win, no excuses for the beaten brigade, wins are hard to come by, so soak up the glory and keep watching that replay for the next month or so.
  25. Yeah agree, but don't matter to much, and will be reeftons claim to fame if this was the last hurrah, all horses and riders pulled up well by the look of things, can't ask for much else.
