  1. A must read - spells out the facts and how poorly racing has been treated by the NZRB and over the recent 1-2 years by RITA.
  2. Brodie forgot the gst, blacksmith ($165 +gst ) , vet and float etc - $2000 if racing be the minimum .
  3. Read their own ethics - I will follow up with their union as I don’t think they have a professional body . Its a shame the horseman’s associations does not care for its members like the teachers , police , public service etc - their care is deafening silent ! Mr Cook and his team could do some pastoral care to it’s members.
  4. How about reporting most of the closed book, iron shut evidence , no doubt evidence charges have been dismissed . The strangle charge nothing to do with Inca . It is a ghetto newspaper - report about how they ( IRU ) are running trying to catch a worm and how time wise over 2 years are still trying to catch a worm . Read the other papers and decide if the police are pure ! Journalism supposed to be objective so why throw one case into none related Inca , why not report on the dismissed cases etc .
  5. Star Newspaper makes the old Truth newspaper look like a press release from Buckingham Palace . The reporters need to be struck off for false , braised , accepting inside sport propaganda and linking falsehood with Inca with no facts. Fiction writers weekly - and not only on harness racing .
  6. Maybe NZB could explain the stats so we all know . It will save me the time and counting the withdraws so get actual horses put to auction and how many sold so true clearance rate .
  7. Why then not put the number of horses which went under the hammer and the number which sold - surely that is the clearance rate . Why publish the gross number before withdraws and therefore an error appeals in the summary . Say 329 sold at 77% clearance means 427 went to the hammer which means a (677 -427) = 250 withdraws or 40% of listings . Surely over a third of the book was not withdrawn . This doesn’t make sense !
  8. Lyndon Robert great looking horse
  9. I am no good at maths so can someone tell me - 2020 Sales : Catalogued 677 yearlings and 329 sold by NZB = 78% clearance 2019 Sales : Catalogued 698 yearlings and 398 sold by NZB = 77% clearance. How is the NZB clearance % calculated as at the moment I think they must have a good “spin” calculator ?
  10. You can wipe out a horse and ruin it for life but hold the race . Remember Alohka at Addington and NR t boned him and she still won .
  11. When the Cup meeting was 4 days and Dominion was the last night the first 2 yr race was programmed either the second to or last day of the carnival and had a full field . There were regular 2 yr old races and spilt colts and fillies alternative meetings from then with big races been the Welcome Stakes , Leonard memorial & Sapling stakes . Sweepstake races were not around .
  12. I read every stipe report and last time I looked MOT wasn’t up! So I read the big questioning of Sheree and couldn’t believe what I was reading - these stipes driving ability , reading a race and knowing what a skilled driver would do is a big joke . Your review is spot on and I had money on Sheree but I was not blaming her for loosing my money but more the AS horses don’t fire when the top team are not there and my $$$ were carted out the back door by the hot pot . A joke to even question Sheree’s drive .
  13. You missed one big thing - - I had no mates out there - No friends / stablemates to help each other out - No soft drag into the race(s) - All too tough on your own
  14. For me a bit of a riddle - can you fill in the gaps ?
  15. Yes really - From Rangiora to Woodend and trespass chargers were considered . Drivers tested last week in Nelson but north island drivers must be 7th Day Adventist’s as I don’t think they have ever received the same treatment .
  16. Yes the trainer kept on digging himself a bigger hole but surely RIU should of said we have been informed the horse was at the other stable for near a week how about changing your story . RIU should not always be aggressive - let’s throw the book at 123 - but show some human element . The police don’t charge everyone all the time and a fine of $1,500 v’s the possible $30 k would say the JCA feel it wasn’t a biggy ! While here have the RIU ever breath tested drivers in the north island - if so how many times - in the sth island it is many times including chasing drivers to there house after driver stood himself down due to illness . Just thinking maybe respect has to work both ways .
  17. Hidden It is another example of RIU trying to destroy the sport I love - the emotive RIU evidence / summary of facts is totally out of proportion for the crime. Why ask about have you a concern the horse was swabbed - what is the stipe implying - he is not to have a preconceived option but to be independent neutral etc . Another beet up which on both sides should of been treated professionally without blowing it up to a thing it was not . Do RIU hate there job as they are trying very hard to make sure they do not have one as they by numerous small cuts to make sure the sport is destroyed Also for 12 months the other site has blocked me .
  18. I thought HRNZ issued licences - not RIU employees . What right has RIU got to confiscate I piece of paper which was invalid for a short period of time . Aren’t HRNZ the administrators who look after the paper work ?
  19. If this was not tied up with Inca it would of not made any paper or had any comment . If you look through every court in NZ of similar cases and of young to old the decision is the same - discharge no conviction . How many Law students etc get no conviction or diversion when they appear in Dunedin courts . MDMA - I do not condone drugs - is a party pill and is not heroin , LSD , cocaine , meths(p) etc . Wonder if other high profile people who will get diversion or discharged no conviction within the Inca net will have their name suppression lifted .
  20. No guarantee but let’s see what the position is after the building is finished and money received . They are living on debt at the moment but that will be paid off and Lone Star rent plus others will help keep the stakes up .
  21. All or most seem to not understand cashflow - ATC has every apartment deposit in trust and cannot touch it and has been bridging the cost of the new build with no money coming in - 2/3 years. Then on completion all settlements will happen and the $$$ get banked . At the moment it is just paying bills for a multi million build so naturally big losses until completion .
  22. How do others feel about the background graphics - flashing dots, crosses & bars etc. It annoys me - everything else good but the flashing is irritating .
  23. I assume it was in the same vain as BGP founder at the conference referring to some bodies making things too difficult to promote the sport .
  24. Of course the Crown are going to say they had evidence . I have heard and read the evidence and weak as p..., 18 months investigation + another year to have one charge not get past go - white flag NZ Police and RIU before they sat down . My taxes paid for this rubbish and my HRNZ fees and punting paid for the RIU clowns .
  25. They subsidise the Group 1 races - ask Ken Spicer how much ATC & NZMTC get as direct top up funding from HRNZ - then why shouldn’t that be reduced and the $1,500 stay in place . The NZ Cup gets I think $400k ( maybe wrong and would appreciate confirmation ) but it is huge .
