Well we did, except, both of them broke down, not one, but two.....both went in the front joints, one broke a fetlock and the other a sesamoid......we learnt later from a disgruntled stable associate that they were full of bute as they had been sore for a while.......that's what desperation does to a person, however another particular person had sold horses to Asia before, and the horses had gone poorly, after trialling brilliantly in NZ and being sold off those trials........one bled badly first start in KL and after much research we found it had bled in a gallop before trialling brilliantly.......you think it trialled on Lasix? I bet you did.........there is a place in racing for therapeutic drugs, but policing racing and trials with pre-race testing is a must go to......you live in denial.

Increasing red blood cells to improve oxygen levels is illegal, otherwise we would all be blood doping wouldn't we? Maybe nano particle tech will be the next big thing, if you don't know about nano particle's, google it, but don't lecture me on changed training techniques and there is a vast difference in regaling past achievements in attempt to achieve credibility when fact beats fiction every time........a bit like a 50yo kicking coach showing a young Quade Copper where he's going wrong.

Many of the race tracks in Chile are outstanding and the facilities whilst very old are wonderful, at Club Hipico in Santiago their track in downtown has 20 races somedays that start in the afternoon and finish under lights. The Grandstand has grand salons that host weddings and concerts and you'd think you were in a grand mansion of yesteryear......if the world ever gets back to some form of normality, do yourselves a favour and spend some time in Latin America experiencing their horse racing, you wont regret it.

San Isidro in Buenos Aires has over 2000 horses in work, brilliant training and racing centre, their bloodlines are still strong, but 20 years ago they were magic, Terry Willisee who owned and operated Trans Media Park Stud [Sovereign Red, Rubiton etc] used to fly over and bring back dozens of their best mares, many horses are still ridden bareback in track work, their horsemanship is on another level and Polo is a national sport.......they need Tina to do a half hour on weigh in showing videos, it would shame most at Petone, then again they're shameless anyway aren't they?

I urge all you inquisitive minded people to read the www.paulickreport.com musings on the upcoming [today] trial of Dr Seth Fishman in the USA. They mention an EPO mimetic, and The Washington Post is running the story also. You hear so many rumours surrounding a synthetic EPO and the only LAB reputed to be able to test for it being in France, however, with the revelations from Jorge Navarro and his gaol sentence plus the Jason Servis saga can we just hope this is the tip of the iceberg and we will see the dominos roll. Like the Weir affair, it only takes one person to roll over, racing integrity is crucial to TAB and corporate turnover growth, gambling will always survive, it's human nature after all, and we need our brilliant industry to be free of innuendo and grey clouds, is AUS/NZ free of corruption in our industry? History will say we are not as far gone as USA, and on the surface it appears so, disqualifications are still rolling along in AUS at an alarming level though, horse cruelty recently and Richard Laming is now gone for 10 months, his 5/6th offence since 2010 for misc offences. The most heinous was his EPO conviction. If our respective racing bodies are diligent and dutiful they will heed and observe the machinations unfolding in USA and in New Zealand's case, the urgent need to institute constant and stringent pre race testing at all race meetings in NZ, across the board not mostly the South Island as it has been in recent times. Ive been strong in my criticism of NZTR and their abysmal pre race testing, QLD has now slipped to almost the same level and it's disgraceful. Integrity is paramount, it starts with transparency and good governance, it's no good all this vitriol on new licensing protocols unless the very essence of integrity is addressed, and that's a level playing field for all.

At least it's a start, of course there should be two race meetings a week in Canty, within a year a growth pattern would emerge, so with the new incoming CEO a deputation should be in the offing.......will it though? or will that wicked woman She'll B Wright win again........
