    • Well some professionals are still in action.  Greg Sugars there on CATCHAFIRE driving a great race to beat John Dunn in the 7th. hezza ripper and looks after my $10ew nicely 💰. thank you Greg.  Might go $10ew 'Scarlets Legacy' in the 10th race now, to see if Greg can beat John again?.  give em' grief son !!! Think 'Tower Of Love' for the Court team will be too strong for Greg's horse in the last race today. Bob Butt having some hair raising drives lately but should be able to get that one home . It went Huge last start and just missed. Might pop 20ew on it to win a hundy .(all going well 😁)
    • What Mooloolaba Cup Day 2024 Where Sunshine Coast Turf Club – 170 Pierce Ave, Caloundra QLD 4551 When Saturday, November 16, 2024 First Race 12:18pm AEST Visit Dabble The $160,000 Mooloolaba Cup will headline the massive 10-race program at the Sunshine Coast this Saturday afternoon. The track was rated as a Soft 6 at the time of acceptances, but with rain forecast on each day in the lead-up to the meeting, expect a genuine Soft surface throughout the day. The rail will be in the +2m position for the entire circuit, with the opening race set to jump at 12:18pm AEST. Mooloolaba Cup tip: Poetic Drama Poetic Drama was very unlucky when she finished second over 1600m at Doomben last start. The Tony & Maddysen Sears-trained mare was held up at a crucial stage in the home straight, but once the daughter of Proisir worked her way into clear air, she unleashed a brilliant finish to go down by half a length on the line. Staying at 1600m and dropping 5kg in the weights are two big positives for Poetic Drama, and they will give her every chance to go one better with a clearer run. Mooloolaba Cup Race 8 – #11 Poetic Drama (9) 6yo Mare | T: Tony & Maddysen Sears | J: Cejay Graham (52kg) +400 with Neds Best Bet at Sunshine Coast: Transatlantic Following a brave first-up performance over 1200m at Eagle Farm, Transatlantic gets a great chance to maintain his unbeaten second-up record (2:2-0-0) here. The Tony Gollan-prepared galloper settled on speed, overraced during the middle stages, and was forced out wide on the home turn before battling on for third place. The son of Snitzel will appreciate a rise to 1400m, and if he can settle behind the speed from barrier 11, Transatlantic will bounce back. Best Bet Race 5 – #9 Transatlantic (11) 4yo Gelding | T: Tony Gollan | J: Angela Jones (58.5kg) +200 with Bet365 Next Best at Sunshine Coast: Redford Stuart Kendrick and Cody Collis will combine with Redford, who will return to his home track coming off a strong win at Doomben over 1615m. This son of Snitzel settled midfield before peeling out wide on the home turn to run home strongly and record a half-length victory in Benchmark 70 grade. Although he rises in grade, dropping back to 1400m should be seen as a positive as he only just ran out a strong 1615m previously. If Cody Collis can find a back to follow into the home straight, Redford will prove hard to hold out late. Next Best Race 6 – #12 Redford (5) 4yo Gelding | T: Stuart Kendrick | J: Cody Collis (a2) (57kg) +240 with Picklebet Best Value at Sunshine Coast: Shalaa’s Moment Shalaa’s Moment will return from a 20-week spell with the benefit of a very strong trial performance over 800m at Eagle Farm. The Matthew Hoysted-trained mare settled at the back of the field before running home strongly down the middle of the track under no riding to finish second. With an unbeaten fresh record (3:3-0-0) and a strong tempo expected in this contest, the race sets up very well for this daughter of Shalaa. The $7 on offer with horse racing bookmakers looks like a great each-way price for Shalaa’s Moment. Best Value Race 9 – #9 Shalaa’s Moment (6) 5yo Mare | T: Matthew Hoysted | J: Nikita Beriman (54kg) +600 with Dabble Sunshine Coast quaddie tips for Mooloolaba Cup Day Sunshine Coast quadrella selections Saturday, November 16, 2024 1-2-3-5 1-5-9-11 4-5-9 2-6-8-14-15 | Copy this bet straight to your betslip Horse racing tips View the full article
    • Probably cost is a factor.  Other constraints would be skill, not enough machinery, applying turf custom and practice to synthetic. I always thought that they would groom between races which seems the logical thing to do otherwise those who race early get the safest track. Then again I also assumed they would groom the track every day BEFORE track work.
    • Here's what I put on a galloping thread earlier today >> Today at ASHBURTON the trotters use the mobile in race 1 (  that's sensible) BUT in races 3 + 6 + 9 with mammoth some 16 horse  fields , the Starter is NO CHANCE of getting those 3 trots away from a stand without chaos.. There will be more gallopers than at Riccarton in those 3 races 😆.🏇.  THE RESULT Race 1 had 3 gallop out at the start and that was mobile Lol  (including hot fav with John Dunn driving. Race 3 . well here's the video . I think the commentator was worried none would finish at one stage. JUST a Disgrace to racing . What Punter Anywhere would put even Play money on this shambles/\???  Sets Trotting back Decades.  to just AMATEUR Sport. crazy stuff.  maybe they should abandon races 6 and 9 ? 🤣
